Minor correction about how Deku’s quirk works here. I am afraid your DBZ knowledge led you astray Ange. Deku didn’t realize he would have to have One For All active all the time, like Goku and Gohan did with super saiyan in the Android saga. What Deku realized was that he was only activating it in his hands, or feet, or fingers, when he needed it, but what he needed to do was activate it throughout his whole body. When he was trying to jump in the alley, he was first turning it on in his feet, then had to think quickly to turn it on in his hands to grab hold. But nobody can keep thinking that quickly, turning it on one at a time in a different limb, while jumping around. It made his reaction time slow. If he turned it on throughout his whole body, it would be always on while jumping, so he wouldn’t have to think about it, making it more efficient. That’s why the microwave analogy helped. If the plate doesn’t turn, you get hot bits and cold bits. What you want is the heat to be spread evenly throughout the food. Deku is not going to have OFA turned on most of the time, unlike Goku and Gohan with super saiyan. He is still going to turn it on only when he is in a fight. You can tell when he turns it on by the green lightning.

2024-09-14 04:33:43 +0000 UTCin your post credit discussion you mentioned you would like to see a little bit more of All Mights past, im not too far ahead in the show so idk whether there is a dedicated All Might episode or something like that, but if you want even just a little bit of All Might, you guys absolutely can NOT skip the movie after season 2 (I saw in another comment you guys haven't decided whether you'd watch the movies). Not only are they canon, they're also just genuinely good stories that you would defintely enjoy. There's also a short 2 minute OVA called All Might Rising that is supposed to be watched right before the first movie: Two Heroes. Please please please, I know everybody watching your reactions definitely wants you guys to watch these. 🙏 great reaction as always!

2024-09-14 01:25:54 +0000 UTCUnrelated to the actual reaction, I thought of this when ange brought up dragon ball z. Have you guys seen Dragon Ball Z Abridged on youtube? Not sure if you guys are familiar with the concept, but they basically dub over the voices and edit the episodes together however they want. They stay pretty close to the actual plotline, but change the script to make it funny. they go through most of dbz, from raditz to cell. It would be a great reaction for the channel, all the episodes are on youtube, and the voice actors do a pretty good job. Check it out :)

While Deku IS the one figuring things out and learning lessons about One for All, I think Gran Torino really teaches him well. He's opening him up to new ways of thinking ("Your admiration for All Might is like a shackle") and was putting him in new situations to get him out of his comfort zone. It's not like All Might ever beat Deku up 😂 Glad you two are enjoying the new plot points being introduced. This is where the show starts really opening up in terms of interesting concepts that make for cool discussions. It's been a real treat seeing you two get deeper into the show 😊
