Bolin did nothing wrong. I agree with Carlie's pov. They have known each other for a few weeks, or Korra has known the boys for a few weeks. Bolin had a healthy mindset about this whole business, he just went on a casual date with a cute girl he liked. That's why he wasn't that mad at Mako; he didn't see it as Mako stealing the love of his life or anything. Bolin probably actually realized Mako had feelings for Korra too, probably stronger than his crush, so he didn't mind letting it go. I also think Bolin just said sorry to clear the air between them, have no hard feelings between them. It wasn't like a deep sincere heartfelt apology or anything, or admission of fault. As for Mako, I hate what the writers did with his character. They named a character after the late VA of Iroh, and turn him into this bumbling moron.

I think you both misunderstood .Bolin was apologizing for saying those things about his brother and causing this situation in the first place. He did not listen to his older brother, who was only looking out for him and giving him good advice.

2024-09-10 04:29:12 +0000 UTCthe romance in korra (especially in the first season) is easily one of the weaker parts of the show and i feel like i'm reminded of that every time i rewatch it. not to say that it doesn't have its moments because it definitely does sometimes, but yeah... the beginning is super messy (and it's definitely because of the initial episode count being just the first season) still despite all the gripes i have with it, i'm still super excited to see how you guys react to all the romance as it progresses

2024-09-09 21:27:08 +0000 UTCOh god, I remember now how awkward the early romance was in this series. But the writers were only greenlit for one season at the start, so it makes sense why the pacing seemed a little rushed. Probably felt like they had to cram a whole lot into 11 episodes.
