My general opinion is that the romances in this show were unnecessary and poorly thought out on the writing side. The sloppy character work is what really makes me not care for TLOK. If they had just left the soap opera shit out of it, the whole experience would be much stronger. But, for what it's worth. A DATE is not DATING. Korra could have handled the situation better, but she was not under any obligation to Bolin. I love thw guy, but his feelings weren't THAT deep and they had literally had a single date. That's all. No real leading on even had time to happen.

Korra for being insensitive to Bolins feeling and Mako's jealousy led him to engage in that kiss and confession to Korra. if this is really going over peoples heads, I dont know what to say, other than I have a sneaking suspicion as to why people would blame Korra over Mako, but I'll hold my tongue.

We as the audience know he's not an angel but to the people in universe its 50/50 feelings about Amon

Amon attacking her and her testimony of such is more than enough for an investigation and arrest. Also, and this should be obvious, but large scale vigilante activity, like kidnapping a bunch of mobsters, is SUPER ILLEGAL and obviously going to be a high priority for police, who’s main thing is maintaining a monopoly on violence in an enforcement context.

Makes no sense. They have every right to just show up at Amon's front door and arrest him. That's no legal revolution and they know well and have more than enough proof to process them.

He kidnapped Lightning Bolt Zolt and his henchman(Bolin included) but they were likely themselves suppose to be behind bars and taking their bending away did the city a favor, plus, as any mob gang will tell you, you can't pin the crime on the big boss man. and I doubt they have RICO laws yet. Also, no cops were at the peaceful rally to corroborate. remember this is suppose to be 20's time period....they have duels to settle things....we had duels once upon a time to settle things lol. point being, I'd suspect arrests are used a little more judicially than you'd see in today's day.

So it makes sense that he isn't gonna hold a grudge, nor will he really stay upset for too long which is why he got over it quickly. Bolin didn't need to apologize, but I've seen in some places where when ppl fight and make up, both say sorry even if only one was at fault. Legend of Korra time period mimics the "roaring 20's" in New York City. Republic City even has a "statue of Liberty" with the Aang memorial statue. point being, that is why you hear a lot of Jazz music...also why the speech is very 20's-30's New York style. You guys don't watch the the "previously on" opening scenes but they are stylized in old TV film recordings and it's narrated by the same radio announcer who calls the Pro bending games. All to give you the feel of that time period. Baseball games were announced over the radio just like that back in those days...very campy...peppy.

I have no idea what Tenzin's on about "a move that aggressive" like Amon's revolution was peaceful to begin with. They already have proof he's been kidnapping people and taking their bending away. If that doesn't warrant a detention, I don't know what does xD.

2024-09-08 20:06:15 +0000 UTCa good thing to remember: the creators thought that LoK would only have 1 season.. so they kind of wrote this as a "one and done" type thing to make it complete with no loose ends really, which makes sense if some storylines feel a bit rushed. Same goes for season 2, but for season 3 they did know that there would be a 4th and final season :) Personally i don't mind the love triangle/square being over so fast (for the most part).. it was amusing in a way, but if it got dragged out for longer it would get really annoying.
