My Hero 2x10 REACTION!

Peak. So damn good

Comments

Yes? I'm not sure you really know what a mobster is lol. Carlie and Ange themselves misunderstood it too

Cap

LOL could you imagine someone saying something like that? "I put her in the hospital" and meaning it the way you took it? =P That's such like... a mobster way of speaking that I don't think Endeavor would even say.

The Great Santini

I agree with Carlie while Deku is the catalyst for Todoroki overcoming his struggle and trauma, aktively deciding to change and overcome your biggest challenge is what a true hero needs to do in order to evolve

You realize people said the exact same thing about season 4 at the time, right? You're free to hate the way things played out; I disagree, but whatever. But I do think hitting the current season for the animation of all things is a little crazy. The show looks *at least* as good as season 4 did right now.

Trav

Yeah a lot of people, myself included, initially thought Endeavor had physically hurt his wife to the point of hospitalization. But in reality he had her institutionalized in a mental ward for burning Shoto. Side not: The sister we see here was one of the siblings shown playing in episode 10's flashback. Shoto is the youngest of them

Cap

I hated 7, in my opinion the mangaka completely fumbled the climax of this show, and the meh animation didnt help that any. Compare that to seasons 1 through 4, peak animation plus peak storytelling

Surya

this episode is so good dubbed too. def worth checking out.

and season 3

Underneath all that anger, Todoroki is a Very Good Boy! It absolutely melted my heart when it was revealed that his role model is All Might, because it showed that Todoroki understood that it wasn't All Might or heroes in general that were to blame. This is one of my favorite episodes! I 100% give Deku MVP because he WAS Todoroki's hero in the episode. Todoroki needed a different perspective (ex: Deku saying that the quirk is his, not his dad's) and to be pulled out of the darkness. Todoroki's victory was inevitable, but without Deku, he wouldn't have remembered his aspirations to be a real hero.

chui

true peak of mha is season 6 and 7

Ludz

damn back when this show had so much potential... dont worry peak is not over for a while

Surya

Deku 100% saved Todoroki from his self destructive path that shouldn't even be a debate.

It's definitely a tough choice for MVP in this episode. I do think that in cases where the episode has some kind of battle or match, if it's a tough decision on who the MVP is, then by default the MVP should go to the person who won the battle. Essentially, the will of the episode itself is the tie-breaker. And I say that as someone who favours Deku for MVP.

Trencha

I definitely agree with the Deku MVP pick. Arguably, he's more of a hero than anyone else (in this arc) because of this episode. Instead of just trying to win, he also tried to save someone in conflict. There was a *real* person struggling through *real* trauma right in front of him, and instead of taking advantage of that to win his match, Deku focuses on trying to help Todoroki gain perspective and get past his hang-ups. Naturally, this helps make Todoroki a better hero in the long run too, so you could even say this action has a snowball effect of saving even more people (the people Todoroki could save in the future because of this growth). Deku didn't win, sure, but just like when he didn't get any robots in the entrance exam, instead he SAVED someone, and that's honestly all that *really* matters as a hero.

Kohei Horikoshi, the creator of My Hero Academia, cried when he saw this episode. That's how well made this episode is.

THIS EPISODE IS SOO GOOD ONE OF THE BEST ONES IN THIS SHOW FOR ME and I definitely agree with Ange there deku was my hero of the episode he did save todoroki in the end, he pulled him out of that spiral of hatred for his dad and i love that line deku says”it’s your power, isnt it?” making him realize it’s his quirk not his parents

Re

Carlie and Ange I'm so unbelievably happy you loved episode Todoroki Origin as much as I did I'm a quadriplegic but My Hero has episodes like this that make my body spasm almost out of bed it's so HYPE!!!! once again you guys are the best reaction channel ever!!!!

I love that change of perspective. All these years, Todoroki has always treated his RIGHT as his mom's quirk and his LEFT as his dad's quirk. By using only his right side, he thought that he could deny and defy his father. But finally, Deku knocked some sense into him, making him realize that these are HIS quirks and not his parents' quirks.
