And the 2 seasons available offer a satisfying complete story (though they can keep adapting more if they want as the manga is still going)

The decision has mainly come down to the fact that we have so many series that we are watching right now and we need a little bit of a breather. We did like Horimiya but probably not enough to commit to another 12 episodes when its not really a continuation of the story and really just filling in the gaps/giving more context. Im sure we’d like it but thats just some of our reasoning right now. We did specify in episode 1 that there were no concrete plans to watch the missing pieces as well, but we understand the disappointment!

Fruits Basket is great, pretty deep and cute too. Ore Monogatari!! is another good one I haven't seen many react to in a while. AND a lesser known one is Engaged to the Unidentified which is a sweet shorter one.

2024-09-01 23:04:24 +0000 UTCJust so you have an idea of what you'd be getting into, the first half of S2 Ep 1 takes place when he had long hair, while the second half took place when he had short hair. While I recognize that the "telling a story out of order" damage was already done and thus their hands were tied, this left a bad taste in my mouth. I would suggest reading the manga first and THEN watching S2 if you're still interested in watching it because, as an anime-only fan, it gets hard to follow.

The episodes aren’t in proper order but it does explore the relationship between the characters deeper (and their backstories too). It’s a good slice of life comedy anime that’ll make you laugh a lot.
