honestly same. I'm not even interested in Deku's story and Deku as a character. He just doesn't interest me. After Season 2, I just watched the episodes related to Shoto and Todoroki plotline. It's honestly one of the most well-written plotlines in shounen anime.

I just said his mentality of doing what he is doing thinking he is spiting his father with those actions is wrong and stupid in my opinion. He thinks he is doing something to spite his father but what he is doing is exactly what his father wants him to do but he is also making it harder on himself on top of it. Todoroki is not spiting Endeavour, he is doing exactly what Endeavour wants him to do. He is vindicating Endeavour.

2024-08-22 09:37:15 +0000 UTCI couldn't disagree more with your perspective on Todoroki's situation. Not to attack you personally but your perspective seems a little "young," experience-wise. While there ARE kids that will self-sacrifice to stick it to their parents/other authority figures, that's not the ONLY way it goes and some kids have the wherewithal to strive for success despite the negative people in their life. I feel like the biggest piece of the puzzle your explanation misses is the fact that Shoto, against all odds, turned out to be a genuinely GOOD KID. He still idolizes heroes, he still loves his mother, etc etc.

I seen lot of people thinking like Ange so i guess fans are divided on this but IMO Todoroki is just misguided and foolish. Bottom line is Endeavor wants him to be no.1 and Todoroki is like "i will become no.1 without using fire to stick it to endeavor". but i dont see how that make sense. Endeavour doesnt give a fuck whether you use 50% or 100% of your power, all he cares is if you are no.1 and you are doing your best to acomplish exactly that. how are you "sticking it up to him"? you are literally doing your best to do what he wants. If you really want to stick it up to endeavour you need to give up on being a hero or refuse to be no.1 and settle for top10 if at all. I really hate this mindset todoroki has. Thats like having strict dad that is beating you and forcing you to study to get all a's and you try to stick it up to him by getting all a's without any study as to prove he is a fool for forcing you to study. yeah cool, you proved beating is redundant and study is waste of time but you still did exactly what your dad wanted and thus justified his actions because if he wasnt beating you and abusing you, forcing you to study all the time you wouldnt get motivation to prove you can get all A's without study

I won't spoil who they are since the show will reveal it, but Class B also has 2 students who got in through recommendations and didn't have to take the entrance exam.

The "All Might's secret love child" line always gets me haha! Welcome to the start of the Todoroki family drama! It's one of the best storylines in the whole series. You are definitely in for a treat. Endeavour is an interesting character. Really well written but an absolutely horrible person! No matter his reasons, Endeavour buying his wife to practice eugenics because he couldn't reach his goal in life and then putting it all on his child is beyond messed up. Especially with Shoto saying his mom was always crying. She's not perfect either as we see in this episode but thinking about what brought her to that point is so sad.

I in fact dropped MHA during the later seasons, but did come back specifically to see more of Todoroki's storyline develop. Peak storywriting, wasn't disappointed. You two intrigued by his story like the rest of us were means you're in for a treat.

Omg you guys got the first glimpse into Shoto's (Todoroki) backstory, I'm no excited for you!! I love how Kacchan, Shoto and Iida all three have such unique friendship with Deku and all three are impressive, they're my favourite quartet from Class 1-A. I laughed at how Ange went off on Shinso hahaha can't wait for your reaction next episode xD Seeing you guys get so hyped for these episodes gives me LIFE!!!

I love the cast in this show, Endeavor has one of the best voices as well, he actually does many characters in One piece, including Patty, Brogy the giant, and even Richie the Lion 😅
