2024-10-01 09:01:55 +0000 UTCI know you posted this a month ago but I was rewatching C&A's reactions and saw your comment so thought to share my thoughts on what you said. I think Deku being able to keep up with others during the obstacle race was thanks to all the training he did prior to getting OFA from All Might. We already saw him clear out a whole beach front by himself, he was seen running with all kinds of heavy trash stuff, he pulled a car etc with his bare hands, he even ran around while piggybacking All Might who at that time weighed 255 Kilos. So even without activating OFA, Deku was pretty strong enough to run with a heavy object. He was still behind the others though and he only caught up to most of them at the last stage, the minefield and that was because everyone else naturally slowed down in fear of setting off the mines, and the two who were in the lead, Bakugo and Shoto were too busy fighting each other to progress any further, so Deku was able to catch up pretty much. Plus unlike the others who were walking cautiously through the minefield, he instead dug up the bombs and used them to propel himself to the front right away. I think we're meant to remember that Deku, regardless of OFA switched on or not, has a really good stamina that probably only falls short to All Might and a few other pro heroes at the time of him receiving OFA, so him keeping up in the race is not that surprising imo.

2024-09-05 18:25:32 +0000 UTCAs someone who tries watching this show for the 3rd time now after cancelling it twice because I don't like Deku I still don't get why they couldnt atleast put some logic into the Sportsfestival. How in the hell, did Deku even catch up at the 3rd obstacle, after going through the other obstacles with a additional weight (metal object). He either walked or or run on the first obstacle and he had to climb along the ropes on the second one (still with a metal object slowing him down), while Bakugo for example flew over it with insane speed. Please, if this is a story about how a boy without any talents growing up to become the number one hero (as mentioned in episode 1 or 2) then atleast let him have some losses and not win everything without even using his quirk or without being able to control his quirk.

In shows like one Piece and some others like MHA, when there is a recap, we also skip it. The edited reactions are more often than not no more than 10-11 minutes which is almost half of the full length reactions.

Without the opening and ending reaction the full length reactions are barely any more than the normal edited reactions. Only perk of doing it with how you guys do full length is that you post the full length slightly ahead of time of the edited reactions. Well I guess its not a big deal for 8 dollars a month. Just prefer full length anime reactions to include the openings and endings unless they are very spoilery. Anime openings and endings are part of the enjoyment but its up to the person I guess.

I like anime and there are plenty of other perverts in anime but every single one of them is something that mineta isn’t: they’re actual characters. Meliodas is a huge pervert that constantly gropes Liz but he’s also an outstanding captain of the sins. He’s more than willing to sacrifice himself to protect others and loves his friends. He was even ok with Ban trying to kill him. He didn’t let him, but he never held it against him. Loyal, caring, brave and forgiving. He’s a fun character that is more than perversion. Happosai from ranma 1/2 is a sex pest but he also has moments where he displays his wisdom and has gone out of his way to save ranma and others. He’s also one of the toughest characters in the series and serves as a wall that must be overcome. Jirayia is a Pervy Sage, but he’s also the man that took 3 years to raise 3 orphans so that they’d stand a chance to survive. He sacrificed himself to give the ninja world a way to defeat evil. He spent his entire life trying to find a way to end the curse of hatred that enveloped the world. He passed on the mantle to Naruto and helped shape the shinobi he became. Even Roshi, one of the legendary perverts of anime, isn’t a pervert and nothing more. He’s a teacher that impacts wisdom on to his students, he’s a brave warrior that died fighting evil and has fought to save the entire universe. He’s the one that passed on the torch to Goku and laid the groundwork for the warrior he became. Even Kami has commented on his wisdom and he’s earned the respect of Beerus. He has also tried to overcome his perversion. There is a reason as to why Goku still wears his colors despite having had multiple teachers after Roshi. It’s because he respects Roshi. Notice that: Goku has beem taught by gods, angels and it’s been decades since he was trained by Roshi, but he still respects him enough to wear his colors when he’s fighting against monsters, demons and in front of gods. Mineta has none of these qualities. He isn’t even a character. He’s an ugly stain on a brilliant series. A cliche brought to life in the laziest way possible. A predator who uses his quirk and hopes to use his position to get close to girls. Fuck mineta. There isn’t anything remotely interesting about him. Literally every single scene of him is him thirsting like a pervert on a girl or using his quirk to assault some poor girl. The only good thing is that he doesn’t have any other quirk. Can you imagine what he’d do if he had Shinos quirk and could make others do what he told them to? Dudes a younger version of Weinstein. Yea. There’s some characters that are assholes like Bakugo or Endevour but that least they’re interesting. At least they have some sort of redemption arc or character improvement. I can hate endevour but find him interesting. Mineta isn’t interesting. All he is is perversion. There’s nothing fun about him. It’s the same joke over and over again. Other characters have had growth, challenges, and something that makes them interesting. He doesn’t. He’s about as interesting as a plain toast and as deep as a puddle during a drought."

Yes, it's jarring and uncomfortable, but if we can move past Roshi and Jiraiya being literal pedophiles, I think we can move post Mineta being a creep to girls his own age. 4. I get that it's not enjoyable to watch. I cringe at it, too. But let's not pretend like this isn't common and Horikoshi is some weird outlier in Jump when he was very much the norm.

It's kind of hinted at in the first episode by her family's business not doing that well but her family is poor and it's mentioned in the manga that she frequently forgoes meals to save money. Haha Carlie mentioning Deku's tie is hilarious! It's a running gag that he can't tie his tie correctly just like Bakugo never wears one. You can call Todoroki (last name), Shoto (his first name). People use both interchangeably so you're good either way. So glad you're loving Aizawa so much now. He's such a good character! And Mic was made for his commentator role haha. Your mutual love of Tenya makes me smile every time! But it's absolutely okay to hate Mineta, EVERYONE does! So glad you're loving season 2 so far. Looking forward to your reactions to the rest of the sports festival! Many hype moments to come!

You can use them for daily things like grabbing stuff and lifting things. But when you hit someone, you've used your hands illegally. Also as the other comment pointed out, work permits also exist.

I think the "3 chosen" you misunderstood from Aizawa saying that there are 3 chances to win/show off in the sports festival - one chance per year, because the festival happens once a year, and they attend UA for 3 years

A gag character is one thing, ex. Aoyama who fills that role well imo, but to make it such a dominant presence in the show takes away from so many great moments. The manga started in 2014, so I get it was a bit more common then to do this sort of thing, so its jarring seeing it in 2024

About the opening, they usually either watch it after they have finished the anime, or put it in their Youtube channel videos, together with other anime openings. They tend to avoid OP and ED for spoiler reasons, I think.

I find it strange how she's enrolled in the Hero course though if that's her goal LOL. U.A. has many courses and programs, but she got into the Hero course. But you can definitely hear hints of it in S2x1.
