I think the stage in between holding hands palm to palm and interlocking hands is holding fingers. Hooking a couple of fingers around theirs, index to index, pinky to pinky. It gets the fingers involved without completely locking them in, similar to where they are in their relationship. At least that's how I see it lol.

Whatever the case, it was a bad scene that just confuses everyone. And i don't think Miyamiru deleted Shindo's text because he mentioned a doubl date. Go back and read it. They didn't give us all that much time to do so

2024-08-04 23:10:36 +0000 UTCI mean sure, I would have liked if they included everything the way it was supposed to be, but considering that's not what ended up being done, it's not like you can just ignore missing pieces even if the order of it is a bit confusing (I also think there *is* a sense of continuity, because the events in missing pieces are still technically in chronological order). only watching season 1 would literally mean watching less than 50% of the story, I think that would just be a waste, and let's not act like it wasn't as good as the first season even if the order wasn't 1:1.

I guess generally they ARE more outwardly polite and respectful, but Japan is also notorious for how intense the bullying can be. Many foreign English teachers abroad in Japan mentioned that some schools have some of the sweetest well-behaved students and staff, generally so, but others have absolute toxic gremlins. Some say they would never raise their kids in a Japanese public school as a result... but they are also forgetting that in some places abroad, it can get pretty bad too. So I do think it comes down mostly to the area, and the people that happen to be present. A Silent Voice kind of touches on how bad bullying in Japan can be, if you two remember that.

2024-08-04 18:06:47 +0000 UTCwhile it is technically all canon stuff from the manga, it is so jarring the way its done, all out of order, no sense of continuity at all, it makes it seem like youre walking backwards from the end of season 1 which is just a frustrating watch.

Just so you know, it's really like a season 2, they weren't sure if they would have the success/funding to do a second season so they kinda rushed the first one. After having aired a lot of fans were really happy with the anime, but also disappointed that they left out so much important stuff from the source material. All of this to say, that if you enjoy horimiya, you should definetly watch it as well since it's literally part of the story!
