2024-07-30 16:15:48 +0000 UTCI cannot begin to express my enjoyment through words alone that you are finally watching one piece, I'll be here for the entire ride I don't know if you ever addressed this but I genuinely don't know if 2 episodes per upload is enough; of course, I'm not going to complain even if it becomes 1 episode per upload I simply *suggest* doing more, if you can't/don't want to that's your own choice I just believe that one piece is an extremely lengthy show so you can either chip off at it over time or take bigger chunks during such intervals In any case, I'll always be here for the entire journey till the end because all I care about is you enjoying the show I hold very dear to my heart and living vicariously through your enjoyment, reliving it once again

2024-07-30 11:02:28 +0000 UTCOK, I understand that you prefer the widescreen 16:9 format in HD, but unfortunately, before episode 207 (which marks the evolution from traditional animation to computer animation for One Piece) the episodes were produced in 4:3 because most televisions at the time still had this almost square format. In fact, if you watch these episodes in 16:9 widescreen (before episode 207), you lose some of the drawings and therefore the composition of the shots. Personally, I always prefer to watch these episodes in 4:3 because that's how they were designed and so the image isn't cropped, but I understand that 480p resolution also gives a pixelated aspect that isn't pleasant.

It just feels right to me. when I try the HD cropped the colors just feel like too much? and I always have the niggling in the back of my mind saying "what if the AI cropped something out that it shouldnt have?". It might just be the nostalgia tho...

2024-07-30 00:33:25 +0000 UTCI believe the fullscreen version cuts off parts of the original images since these episodes were originally animated in a 4:3 format, so it can't be translated to 16:9 without cutting off part of the picture. So one note to have, if you do continue to watch the fullscreen HD version, is that some scenes may look off since you aren't getting the full picture. True HD fullscreen (as in the show was animated in actual 16:9 aspect ratio) comes in at episode 207
