The Aizawa/All Might relationship is most likely a take on the early days Batman/Superman relationship. Aizawa would rather stay in the dark and doesn't like people who bully or overuse their powers in society. Where as All Might, uses his powers nonchalantly to save anyone and anything he can.

If you guys feel apprehensive about the graphic having too much Deku, there is good reason to give this episode's MVP to the teacher, Aizawa. The drills he put together was a good introduction into some of the students' quirks outlining their drawbacks and where their current standing is. His harsh lecture to Deku is a tough pill to swallow but it shows he is paying attention to his students and it also inspired Deku to think ahead of the situation.

Keep in mind that the teacher(Aizawa) doesn't know Midoriya's quirk is passed down, he thinks he was born with it. So logically, in around 12 years, Midoriya has not been able to stop his quirk from hurting him. That's why in his eyes he has no potential. He also doesn't want a young kid to chase a dream which will lead to his sure death, so he wants to spare him by expelling him.

I think keeping the MVP segment would be fine as the first few eps are really just cementing Midoriya as really powerful MC with so much potential.

I think doing the MVP segments now is fine. Sure, the first few episodes are just the MC since we haven't really properly introduced the other characters yet, but once you get past episode 6 there will be other characters in the running, even if many of them still go to Izuku.
