I don't look at it as "I'm an adult looking at an uncomfy vibe in an anime, bonk where is jail", but instead I just look at it as "I bet if I were their age, how would I be seeing this unfold? I feel like it would be more awkward bad scary or even adrenaline rush of a vibe vs just being sus". But yeah, the show did try to even break my suspension of disbelief and just had me in disbelief 😂

It’s a core part of adolescence and young love and the story doesn’t shy away from that. Like I absolutely agree with Carlie that the bed scene feels like “oh jeez oops sorry didn’t mean to interrupt,” but conversely, let’s applaud the fact that the animators managed to execute a scene with that level of authentic intimacy! But yeah no it’s uncomfortable

I think the fanservice can make people expect things to happen and they spend the whole time thinking up dirty things that could happen in the scene when it's not being dirty at all lol. There are only a few times that she intentionally teases him just because he's a guy. I really like her character because she isn't trying anything with him at all. Anything that happens that makes him excited is just a natural reaction. She calls him "dude" and "my guy" and it really fits her personality. For as pretty and well developed as she is, she doesn't seem to even care about that and is just comfortable being who she is. I'm not getting heavy romance vibes from Gojo just yet, but there's definitely some admiration and care. I hope they make another season and we get to see their feelings and relationship grow.

NO! the awkwardness and uncomfortability that ange was talking about in the intro LOL"

Loving the first two eps. I have never seen anything close to the first ep of Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! Both remind me of the male leads of the old Key titles like Clannad and Kanon or Seitokai Yakuindomo. This brings back an old trope I don't think I've seen in about a decade. Rather than the oblivious or denial trope, The male leads seem to be playing the Tsukkomi (straight man) to the ladies antics. Pseudo Harem just looks cute as hell.

2024-07-13 21:33:46 +0000 UTCI feel like the fan service plays a big part in gojos character think of it like this where seeing it from his eyes a young adult that's basically never interacted with a female or been close to them at all and a young girl who is confident in her body and loves to tease the boy who she likes because he knows he's not had female interaction before the close-ups of the boobs and other parts is what gojo is looking at it makes him uncomfortable so the show is trying to make you feel what gojo is feeling its a really well-written show when you think about it in that perspective bc the show is actually making you uncountable as you saw with the last episode there was not much fans service because gojo was finally feeling comfortable around her and he was just able to admire her beauty without thinking about her sexually.

If you are paying attention to Gojo's reactions you should notice that as the series progresses his response to incidents changes subtly as he comes to terms with the explosive change in his life and his feelings about it. Compare the Gojo from EP2 to the Gojo who relatively calmly can carry her on his back in EP12.
