Actually Mai gave Azula a secret look. Sort of like a side eye. If you go back to “Zuko alone” Mai had a crush on Zuko back when they were little kids. Azula knew this and loved to tease/bully Mai about that.

I've always taken it as her looking pregnant, personally. But yeah, so reasonable for the kids to not really connect the two as both being Katara.

People become convinced they’ve met him in the Fire Nation military and when he can’t be found they hold a funeral for him in which his commanding officer is visibly moved and gives a speech about him

2024-06-28 23:22:00 +0000 UTCI think the main reason Iroh ignored Zuko in that moment story wise is because Iroh has given Zuko advice over and over and over again... Zuko has not appreciated the wisdom, guidance and support uncle has given him for years. Iroh probably feels like there is no point in wasting his breath, or that Zuko truly needs to learn on his own.
