2024-07-02 07:39:55 +0000 UTCThe village knowing the whole time is a big difference from the LA, they were all supporting her in their own way which I thought was really touching. Also they couldn't help her with the 100 million because they had to consistently pay tribute to Arlong. My favorite line from the anime in this arc is when Luffy asks "Which one of you is Arlong?" perfectly showcasing how he has no knowledge of what happen or who Arlong even is but completely locked in and willing to help his friend.

2024-06-28 01:53:42 +0000 UTCI just love how with everything going on, Luffy is the most unaware of the situation out of everyone, so when he rocks up at the end and smashes down the door the biggest villain so far, he doesn't even know who he's here to fight, just his name, and goes "which one of you is Arlong." It's such a boss move, like which one of you do I have to beat up to cheer up my crewmate.

He knew enough that the village is in some situation. But he respected what Nami decided back then so he just lied down on the ground waiting for the time that Nami changing her mind. His help doesnt need knowing Nami's background. He cares only who Nami is and her present time. He trust her and love her without conditions. He would never involve into his friends' matter randomly just because he himself thinks they need help; instead, he will always be there waiting for them until they really need him. Then he will give them everything he can give to them

2024-06-27 20:00:08 +0000 UTCAnge can't remember the Nojiko-Nami-Mousey from happening in the live action because they took the liberty to change the fundamental story. In the live action, Nojiko, Gen, and the villagers are not aware of Nami's sacrifices. It is tiring reading people's comments that "of course, it is not 1 to 1." I get it I do. However, the writer changed the fundamentals of the story. I (and I know other fans share this opinion) hate that. OPLA is good compared to other live actions out there but story wise? It sucks. LOL. The only good thing it did is to bring in new fans.
