2024-06-25 19:26:02 +0000 UTCI have seen demon slayer reactions so many times (especially the zenitsu 6fold scene) that I actually noticed the necklace about 3 scenes earlier when they were talking about "x and y cooked the fish" and they zoomed out. Even before they zoomed in on him. My eyes just clipped him on the left side. That absurd looking 1970s dumb and dumber top shirt with the black and white and then the necklace immediately was an eye sore and unmistakable because i subconsciously thought of a ๐ peach but didn't know why. Then that zoom in happened and I was both impressed and scared of my ADHD brain ๐. Then I started doubting myself until we realized he was an a-hole. So when I saw your reaction when they zoomed in like "wait... WAIT... HUH...wait..... processing.. processing...CARLIE WAIT"... It made me feel less like a loose unit ๐. So if anything I just wanna say thanks for the support lol

We got to watch Mugen train and then the entertainment district straight after because we were late to Demon Slayer, and it worked so well.

You guys always bring so much life to my viewing experience, especially with how you always react to the points of the show that I wish to get your reactions to the most! I feel like I enjoyed that Muzan epic walk at the end ten times more from seeing how hyped and thrilled you both got haha! The whole heartfelt scene with Gyomei's backstory and Carlie tearing up for him. Ange remembering the kid from the Zenitsu's backstory (you should take credit for it even if it's because you rewatched S1 recently Ange, many people would still forget it lol). I love that you guys also picked up on how proactive Giyu is starting to become in terms of trying to make friends with the other hashiras. I feel so overwhelmed (in a good way!) every time I rewatch DS and other shows that I like with you guys, like it gives me so much life haha! I truly appreciate how invested you guys get and how wonderfully you enjoy these shows. I can't wait for the finale next week like holy shit if that Muzan walk at the end was a teaser then I have no idea how we'll survive the final episode of this season. As a manga reader expecting a tiny filler season before the final arc, this season totally blew my mind with the way Ufotable directed and animated it. On that note, I'm the same as Ange in that I don't know yet what to feel about the final arc being animated as three movies. I just hope we won't have a huge gap in between the movies as that could mess up the pacing, but in a way it would also work as movies given how much goes on in the final arc in the manga. I can see it working but I can also see it not working so we'll just have to wait and see ig.

Also, Can we all appreciate Ange catching that necklace easter egg in Stone Hashira backstory and the ties to Zenitsu's backstory? I havent seen the manga but i also caught that during this watch and i thought i was going crazy so i appreciate Ange for calling it out and paying attention!

2024-06-24 18:43:36 +0000 UTCJust my observations, but based on the amount of hair detail and the necklace we get to see in Zen's flashback in S1, it does definitely look like the same guy. I don't think they would give us those details for us to be tricked into it being a different person. I'm curious to know why Zen is seemingly upset about the news, because the letter must have been big information. I also think they placed him in Gyomei's flashback for us to question why we don't hear about what happened to him after the events of Gyomei's flashback, as you two also pointed out. I really hope we get some more info on the letter in the next episode! Though I imagine we probably won't hear much about it again until the final arc.
