It's a story about him (*very* slowly) becoming a better person. You're not supposed to like, let alone identify with, him at the beginning, and if someone does they're seriously fucked up. I personally prefer to have hope that even the worst of us have the potential for change for the better given the chance and the right circumstances, and Mushoku Tensei is exactly that: the worst of the worst given those conditions in a new chance at life. And if you can't get past how disgusting the main character is to appreciate the story, that's completely understandable. No show is for everyone, especially one like this. It is absolutely hard to watch at times. But just because it's not for you doesn't mean that it's universally bad or shouldn't exist.

Also, they don't need to watch the top 100 best anime of all time lmao. What an elitest perspective. For these two, Komi would be an amazing show to watch. Almost every other reactor has watched it too, so not really getting that point of your argument. If you care about MAL ratings, you are an elitist in my eyes. Just because they are not FMA Brotherhood or AOT ratings doesn't mean they are 'average'. I recommended something based on how long I've been watching their content and what I personally think they'd enjoy. It could have just been a simple comment, but your elitism couldn't stop you from combating it.
