Every time I recommend One Piece to someone, I always tell them to watch it until Arlong Park. If it didn't hook you, then drop the anime. 100% success rate. LOL. OPLA handled Nami's backstory differently (and before anyone say I am biased, there's a thin line between creative liberty and removing the core of the story) personally, I hate it. I'm not gonna spoil anything but you'll see this as you react to Arlong Park Arc.

Shipping can be fun but its sometimes taken to toxic places which is why I think some people despise it so much. So I think you're good to have your personal ships but when watching remember that the Strawhats will always be family first

2024-06-19 00:06:29 +0000 UTCpersonally i think the emotional moments in the anime are soooo much stronger than the live action. like it is more light hearted but bc of that the vulnerable moments of our characters hit that much more. sanji's a bit more tough in the live action, here he's tough but he becomes a mess of gratitude it's so sweet and touching ughfkdgjh this was the moment i was hooked on one piece when i first watched cause i cried

I really think OP is perfect for you guys cos you are easy to pick-up and notice even "smaller" characters and find the endearing parts about them. Ahh the innumerable characters in this anime is nuts and i'm endlessly excited for you both. 💜
