What exact verb does he use in the Japanese manga? Also, I think it's pretty clear that Hisoka doesn't actually care for the physical act of sex at all. He's still a sick, sick man but he gets "satisfaction" purely from violent means. That's my read on him, anyway.

2024-06-21 06:55:01 +0000 UTCI agree that he enjoys being outrageous purely because he enjoys being like that but in this case he did it on purpose to make Illumi reveal his presence to Killua. He even follows it up with the line "I want Gon to live". He was trying to give Killua a chance to succeed in healing Gon. It's contradictory to him helping Illumi, but that's Hisoka always playing every card he has to have the most fun possible.

He constantly makes sexual innuendos regarding murder and fighting because he derives pleasure from those things. He wasn't implying he'd do that to him, he was asking if he could kill him but did so in an obscene way as he's always done.

2024-06-19 01:19:00 +0000 UTCA disturbing little trivia about that scene where Hisoka goads Illumi into revealing his presence to Killua is that Hisoka doesn’t say “can I kill Killua” in the manga but something more like “can I do Killua”. The verb can still mean “kill” but can also mean sex. In both the manga and the anime, you can see Hisoka doing a hand gesture that’s very similar to the Japanese hand gesture for sex (closed fist with the thumb poking out between the fingers). So he’s implying something a lot darker than just killing Killua. Of course, Hisoka was just being obscene to trick Illumi into letting Killua know his location but still… “I hate how much I like him” — truer words have never been spoken lol. I can’t even hate him for killing Gotoh because being a murderous clown is just what he is. I do hope Killua makes Hisoka pay for it at some point. Man, I love how much Gotoh and Canary care about Killua. They’re just all in for him, loyal no matter what, even above what the family wants. RIP GOAToh.

Especially when you remember that he always cared about Killua and jumped through hoops to fulfill his orders AND protect Killua. It was never "his orders vs. his love for Killua"; it was always "his orders AND Killua". I loved him so much. 😭
