Well, as they say ignorance is bliss, but knowing how smart Maomao is - it is certain she has already pieced together about Jinshi and his lineage as well as a bit of Jinshi's favor for her. Yet curiosity kills the cat cause that secret ... Involves too many high powered people who can easily snuff people like her and they still want that knowledge confidential. There is no advantage to her to expose it and it seems harmless to just let it be, so Maomao is not dwelling on it. Even so, if she does acknowledge it, it would serve to egg Jinshi more on his feelings for her. And knowing the great disparity of their status, it is too much trouble to do so.

2024-05-27 20:59:01 +0000 UTCMy headcanon is that she objectively finds Jinshi to be too pretty not to be a eunuch 😂 I think Maomao definitely has her suspicions, which is probably why she puts off figuring it out even more; maybe her logic and guts are telling her he's important enough that any deeper involvement would spell danger

If she got involved in someway, being a commoner, she could easily get executed if sh*t happens later on. She'd likely be one of the first ones. Also, Jinshi's identity is a secret, if it's Maomao, it's probably safe to assume that she figured that out and chose to stop thinking about it any further. She's curious but she's a smart cat. That knowledge is not worth her life 😁 Unless, it’s poison 😆

Maomao is curious about Jinshi and all these non eunuch clues but knowledge of this could get her in big trouble that's why she steers away rather than pursuing.
