HxH 130-131 REACTION!

Comments

i love how they leaned over to see gons transformation

Cardenasada Taco

Well, that's the whole point, isn't it? All of this is hugely irrational, Gon is a child, who's willing to throw everything away for someone he barely knew. They've literally been building it up since the beginning, this is the flawed nature of Gon

Oloserian88

Appreciate it <3

Ntsuab Vwj

Go to main home page of their patreon and scroll down it'd there for some reason they forgot to add it to the collection

y can't i watched 128/131???? its behind a paid wall but, i already paid wants me to uprgrade o.O????

Trevor Elswick

Naw you guys gotta consider Gon’s genetics, similar to the Zoldycks the Freeces are a very strong family, Gon just has that in him it wasn’t bc he was thinking of the king

Wooch1x

how come 128-129 not on here but 130-131 is? i dont get it.. so cant watch unless up? sadge

Ntsuab Vwj

He mentions Kite a lot in the Manga, he's the closest connection he has to his Dad.

CostlyMistake

Gon simply used all his potential. they're just showing his potential if he trained everyday for 20 years is equal to meruem. even at the back of his mind he didn't have the king or anything, he was clearly focused on pitou as Ange said. and even if he wasn't and let's say he had the king in mind. He has no clue what Meruem's true power is. it was never revealed to Gon. He just maxed out what he could and that was the result

Ananth Varma

As a dragon ball fan, I was pretty excited to see Anges reaction to Gons transformation. Maybe it's the long build up of Gon losing his mind before the transformation but it has to be in my top 2 or 3 transformation in all Anime.

Wadabadada

One thing you may have missed is that, if Gon had been allowed to grow and train naturally, he would have become as strong as the power he displayed, that is power strong enough to challenge the king. However, he sacrificed all that power in order to use it in that moment to defeat Pitou. What he sacrificed was his ability to ever use nen. This condition could be seen when he said: " if this is the end, then I will use everything.." Everything here referred to all the nen he will ever obtain, that's why he was so strong against Pitou.

Masterpiece 💜🖤💜🖤💜

Neon Genesis

I’ve been waiting for this moment since I discovered your channel. Also this is the only time in the show you can hear killuas footsteps because he was focused only on getting to gonna fast as possible

Mike Barnych

Kite was the closest thing Gon had to a father figure or any sort of connection to his father. He’s an incredibly emotional, illogical character to begin with

Mike Barnych

Kite was highly influential in Gon’s life making. Ging, Killua and Kite but I’m assuming Leorio and Leorio are clii oh se there. Kite is the closest persons that knows Ging being his master and trainer. So I really understand his reaction.

Jesus Rocha

It’s worth to mention the fantastic character development of both Killua and Palm 🙌🏻

Jesus Rocha

The anime sadly doesn't do Kite justice, where he is the reason Gon knows about his father at all (Mito hid everything from Gon), how he's a hunter, and why he decides to start his whole journey. Hell he's the very first character shown in the whole manga. He is to Gon what Shanks is to Luffy, the replacement father figure that saved him at a young age and inspired the protagonist to start their journey. In the manga their reunion at the start of the arc is also completely different as it's a big moment and he recoqnizes Gon immediately where in the anime they went in the route of them just meeting each other awkwardly as they skipped/altered his whole introduction in the beginning of the series.

Amiracle

Bruh you act like the fights are in any way important and that shows how little you understand the story. This isn't a show about 🌟action🌟. By what you've said, you're basing your perception of the pacing by the fights. What was going on with ikalgo and brovoda, then ultimately welding, was WAY more important than Netero ineffectively slapping around meruem. If anything, THAT should have been trimmed down to make room for more of the story as a LOT was left out from the manga.

Smash Bran'Discootch

i disagree, i hated the pacing long before JJK became popular. It's not about all the "side stories", its about decision where to put them. Having the elevator story with ikalgo and brovada just after the netero/meruem fight cliffhanger is equivalent of blue balling for no reason. And main thing i hate about pacing is episodes having 5 minute worth of content expanded to whole episode by having narrator mansplain everything like viewers are bunch of kids with down syndrome incapable of comprehending the most basic stuff. I am 30yo now, but even when i was first time watching this as a kid i hated the narrator overly explaining everything. Like sure, there was maybe 3 or 4 details i appreciated narrator explained cause it would fly over my head first time i watched it. But those 3 or 4 details does not justify hours of mansplaining and that is why i am critical about pacing, it has nothing to do with lack of actions or whatever JJK has to do with anything

Cayseron

Some reactors brought it up and I thought about why Gon "overreacted". Kite was only be present for ~10 episodes, but he was the first father figure Gon had. The time they spent together may have been a taste of what it was like to have a father, and Pitou took that away from him. Gon has always been singularly determined, selfish, and reckless. He hurt his best friend and threw away his life for something even Kite wouldn’t have wanted. It's not solidly canon, but I think it makes some sense.

Whammadoodoo

I don't think it's as much about kite as it is that Gon in his mind has now failed his mission to meet Ging. He didn't live up to the insanely high standards that Ging and Gon himself set, and it sent him spiraling.

Sam B

As insanely good as Gon vs Pitou was, I have to actively stop myself from remembering that Gon barely knew Kite and shouldn't have this MASSIVE overreaction to his death. He's literally reacting as if the person he loved most in the world had died. The emotional connection just lands flat when you think about it beyond Gon himself.

Nic Q

the irony of this arc gon and netero both became monsters in thier final moments while pitou and meruem showed human like emotions at their ends

souma shou

Saying 136 is last episode of the arc is not really a spoiler

Ammar gayal

dude youve just put spoilers in your comment...

Brandon Barnwell

I have a suggestion, maybe that would be more work for you. But you will do 132-33 and 134-135 as usual. I suggest doing 136 on its own as it is basically the end of the arc and have a discussion about the episode and arc in general. And maybe release it at the same time 🙈 then for the following week you can do 3 episodes. I think most of us well... all of us would like that even if it's a little more work for you

Ammar gayal

Gon didn't choose how powerful to become. He just decided to, in that moment, harness all the power he would ever have access to over the course of his entire life. He decided to "use it all"

Paqi

This arc shows the ants gaining humanity, as Gon becomes a Monster

HotBowlofSoup

Just a clarification that Killua doesn't have a Nen condition. His Nen is electricity, but the electricity has to come from an external force, which is why he has to charge up. A Nen condition is a lot more formal process within the Nen user. For Kurapika, it's "make certain skills of my Nen strong enough to subdue the Phantom Troupe, and I swear to use those skills ONLY against the Troupe. If I break that vow, my Nen will kill me instantly". For Gon, it was "make me the strongest form I'll ever be in my life and you can take my life force in exchange". So Killua doesn't have a condition in place for his Nen.

chui

That's a good shout, yeah. Very well put and thought out.

Smash Bran'Discootch

IMO the fact that people these days are being critical about the pacing is purely due to modern anime (JJK) that simply jumps into action back to back. But everyone gotta remember that back into 2011 the big ones out there were full of filler episodes and TV channels and publishers used to have a totally different schedule. Compared to that era's anime HxH was a pretty straight-forward show.

Gabriel Menezes

both of you leaning to the left at gons reveal lmao

Eric

Yeah this was the first time killua was so desperate to reach someone he ran without considering his training

Adam Novak

Also as they say in the show. if he trained constantly for a couple decades he would have hit this potential without sacrificing life, he is bassically giving up his future for this power now for a short amount of time

Adam Novak

So the condition wasn't pre-setup. Once all hope of kite was lost he chose to give up everything in his future to get revenge. This was not planned, he gave into his rage. He has no thoughts on the king. Also remember Pitou has not seen Meruem enhanced, so she's saying he is equal to the king before his power up

Adam Novak

Gon is not equal to the king, in the manga pitou says gon is able to threat the king , not that he is equal. On the other side, pitou just knows the Meruem pre-rose, not the current Meruem who is much stronger

Adrian Fernández Castells

Keep in mind 136 wraps up some loose ends for the arc.

MPC

I'm just here patiently waiting for more Apothecary Diaries 👀

poisonivybag

Did not notice that… that is so epic

Carlie & Ange

Gon's body was forced to mature by the Nen Contract he made like Kurapika. He gave up his Nen, Future, and/or his Life just to sorely kill Pitou. He demanded from Nen Contract all the power he would ever have without caring about the consequences. That "Angry" Adult Gon is just one of his "possible" future selves. But I'm sure if he had lived happily, he wouldn't look like that in the future.

Nashop

Be sure to watch the credits, and past them, on episode 135<3

Reid Dawson

Absolute peak. The voice acting, the animation, the ost… peak

Super Novice

I think Hisoka would be disappointed because it was a huge waste of his potential giving up Nen when he could theoretically reach those heights if he trained like Netero

Zeli

Can you imagine the hefty mass of the shwing on Hisoka if he got to see Gon in that state

Brandon Barnwell

This is why all of the side stuff that people are critical about are SO necessary. Because without ALL of that, this moment and moments later in the arc wouldn't hit nearly as hard. People who complain about the pacing of this arc don't get how drastically it would affect the overall story if it were paced differently.

Smash Bran'Discootch

No, she use nen to alter her form. It's even explained in the episode it's not the same at all

Emperor Nagrom

God did like Bisky but in reverse, she use nen to be younger, he used it to be older, but it as a cost ...

Maximilien Leymonerie

Kite may only be present for 10 episodes, but he was the first father figure Gon had. The time they spent together gave him a taste of what it was like to have a father, and Pitou took that away from him. Gon has always been singularly determined, selfish, and reckless. He hurt his best friend and threw away his life for something even Kite wouldn’t have wanted. Considering how often humans nuke each other, compared to the thoughtfulness of Meruem and the loyalty of the guards, one may wonder which is worse - humans or ants?

Whammadoodoo

I love how both of you are looking to the side when Pitou was blocking the view of Gon Hahahaha

Nurettin

This episode and the entire arc show why HxH is one of the best anime of all time. The peaks, the characters where all are well written, the emotions of Gon that he exceeds his own limit to kill a person and Meruem who questions himself more and more and becomes human is unbelievable, that's what makes a peak anime and why HxH is the best for me Anime of all time is 🐐

Im the sugma

Hearing Killua's footsteps for the first time speaks volumes in that scene
