The version of kind that queen was describing to all the ants while he was in her womb and then in cocoon. Seeing how Komugi is changing Meruem, Pouf thought Meruem is straying of the path he was destined and that it was his duty as royal guard to help king stay on the right path

2024-05-26 15:31:15 +0000 UTCPouf is one of the least selfish characters in the series. Everything he does is for his king AND his species. Meruem’s attachment to Komugi (humanity) is inherently negative as far as the chimaera ants “purpose” is concerned.

2024-05-26 07:33:46 +0000 UTCI wouldn't say that this is his own image of what an ideal king is. This is the Chimera instinct. Every chimera instinctly feels that this king shall rule everything. Even the king himself says that a lot. Pouf just has extra loyalty and love for the king more than any other ant. He's basically trying to prevent the king from any attachment to humans (food) which might make him softer and sway from the main role of a chimera king, even if the king shows signs of wanting to do that. Pouf sees that this is not in his best interest.

He believes that the existence of Komugi is dangerous to the King's emotions since at this point we can all agree that the King is getting softer and softer each time he interacts with a human. This all started when Komugi entered his life.
