What a start to the week! The friend's name is Xiaolan ("Shiaoran") βΊ and definitely agree with the girlhood!!! Sure there are classic clique vs clique tropes, but there's also a lot of 'girls having each other backs' and understanding the female pov π This episode definitely dropped many allusions to character histories like Jinshi's, Maomao's, her father's even. 2024-05-05 04:28:39 +0000 UTCMaomao got the best of Lihaku, but no one is filling her in on the other meanings of the hairpin 7:14 Maomao's friend said you can ALSO use the hairpin to get out of the rear palace, but no one's giving the rest of the data about being given a hairpin. 12:10 Pairin being one of the top three at the Verdigris House her fees are more than the average person makes in a year, so Maomao is really paying big money for Lihaku's "dream". The granny said once Pairin sees Lihaku's muscles she isn't going to settle for a simple tea sipping and conversation (which Maomao's payment might have covered) she's gonna pounce on them muscles and Maomao's going to be the one who has to pay the granny for the additional "service" Lihaku's going to get.
