Ange's comment about recognizing the voice actor for King Bumi made me look him up, and while he didn't voice anyone in DBZ, I was super surprised to learn he voiced not only Bumi, but also Hakoda (Katara and Sokka's dad) in this show. That's crazy vocal range, they sound literally nothing alike. I don't think you two have heard Hakoda talk yet, but keep an ear out.

Bumi, despite being a free spirit, rose up to the occasion and took the responsibility of King for the greater good and the only time he could be a child again is when his friend from the last century came to visit. Even so, he did his job first as a supporter of the Avatar before indulging in his personal relationship with Aang.

2024-03-24 17:28:49 +0000 UTCYeah, other than the explicit kills and such it's sad to see how a 'kids show' is much more mature and trusting of the viewers' capacities than a Netflix adaptation that wanted to be more like GoT. They hold your hand throughout the entire season and the cartoon never did.

Such horrible decisions that treat the audience like morons and take away those important lessons from the showβ¦.like imagine feeling the need to censor a nick cartoon ππ

Both your arguments amount to the same thing at the end of the day π
