2024-03-24 15:28:56 +0000 UTCI would ask everyone who is interested to just look up all those names, of places too. A single word translation often does not justice to the full meaning. With the verbs here it’s actually the thinking, running form as an ongoing act. And Kanne is simply “a can”, easier to remember. And then Übel, she might actually be my favourite character. The better translation would be awful, imo. The word is also as ambiguous as her, colloquially it’s also used to mean great and also in “Mir ist übel” it means “I feel sick” (we use that literally and figuratively in German, too). All of that fits her. For Serie, series is the obvious ,I think sequence would fit as well. Further explanations would spoil a bit, but the sequence of Serie-Flamme-Frieren-Fern which she started is one. Notice the alliterations? (F as in Frieden, the German word for peace; could be coincidence, but..) I love that this show is half-german..

Not "-vious" but "-vous." @ Episode 22 You're right, Ange. Stark was wondering what to get and Frieren recommended the omelette @ 10:50. Good eye. I didn't notice that detail before.

He now knows that he was wrong....All 3 mages in the first test have to be alive and together with the bird to pass. That's why Richter was trying to kill one or both of the girls after Frieren beat Denken. Frieren absolutely recommended the ruff omelet to Stark then we see Himmel eith it in the flashback. Ange is hitting about 90% of his predictions and guesses for these 3 episodes. Carlie is under the weather so we will give uou a pass, but you are close to zero percent. I am with Angebon the Ubel/Land ship as well. She definitely wants more than his clone spell. He is a perfect guy for her. She can murder his clones whenever she gets the killing itch.

As you can imagine, a perfect Frieren clone is fu...ng VERY problematic. And that's not the only clone we saw in this episode...

2024-03-21 19:38:45 +0000 UTCHaven't done this in a long time, so here are some of the characters names' meanings: Denken = to think Richter = means both "Judge" and "Someone who fixes things" Laufen = to run Kanne = "pot" like a tea pot e.g. Lawine = "avalanche" Sense = scythe Genau = "exact(ly)" or "precise" Lecker (the chef that was in the flashback) = "tasty", "delicious" Wirbel = "swirl", can also mean "vertebra" Übel = "bad", "evil" Serie = not sure what they are going for here, because their name usually represents their personality or abilities, translation could be "series" as in tv series or series of episodes
