I kind of took the explanation as a way for Knuckle to waste time and therefore earn interest.

2024-03-19 20:55:45 +0000 UTCTo simplify the ability explanation of apr, aura gets added when knuckle hits you and then interest accrues every 10 seconds. When it reaches a certain number(that will be larger or smaller depending on the enemy) they'll go bust where they enter a state of zetsu where they can't use nen for a month. POP, AOP, and MOP won't matter at all but if you understand the basics of apr you'll be fine.

The numbers throw me off each time but all I had to remember was that Knuckle lends Gon aura and Gon has to give it back (or more) or else the interest will keep piling up after every ten seconds until it reaches a certain amount ( in Gon's case 10000) and then boom busted he can no longer use nen for a month. But that was a really thorough explanation, I really appreciate it 😃

I think Carlie and Ange were more confused by the application of it nen-wise and how both fighters can exchange nen throughout the fight. It REALLY doesn't matter. As long as you understand the gist of: "If you let the interest build past X amount then that's it. Your nen is locked for 30 days." I also think that the fight was a way to show that Gon doesn't yet understand the intricacies of how much nen is used in each attack, how much nen is lost due to just fighting, etc. It was pretty much a way to show how complex fighting with Nen is.. which is funnily enough the point Bisky was trying to make to Killua. It's not about who has more raw power. It's about techniques and how you can use them to win.

2024-03-18 00:15:09 +0000 UTCits X+(X/10)=NX repeated every 10 seconds where initial X is amount of nen transfered via physical contact. that is basically whole math process. take a number, divide it by 10, whatever number you get you add to previous number in order to get new value (NX) and then repeat using NX as X in equation. another simpler way to calculate the same thing would be X multiplied by 1.1 (test it out if you want, numbers will be the same :D ) math itself is not complicated at all, explanation is overcomplicated because of all the simplifications and pointing out the obvious that follows the rules of math which needs to be said so it does not fly over peoples head. and extra complicated due to further explanation to how that affects nen and the other effect. but essentially take any number. X = 120. equation is 120+(120/10)> 120+12=132, 132 is NX (new X) X = 132... repeat. and same again, if you multiply 120 by 1.1 you will get 132 and so on. both are very simple to do. i can basically write the sequence with bare minium effort of counting it... 120/132/145/159/174/191/210/232/255 and so on

The killing of the farmer family, especially that child, even though they didn't fully show it, is still one of the hardest things for me to watch in anime. The little girl making that scared confused face just gets me every time. Also, don't worry, all those talk about Knuckle's ability isn't for nothing, but yep you don't have to go back to it and understand everything. Portraying Gon as very confused and overheating with information during the talk about interests is the author telling the audience that it's okay to not not get all of that, the important thing is you get the gist of it.
