2024-03-17 09:57:00 +0000 UTCShe points out that Killua will always run if at best he has a 30% chance of winning. But against the enemies they will be fighting, nobody can get more than that. So he needs to find out how to force that 30% scenario using strategy...

2024-03-16 07:15:28 +0000 UTCI totally agree with you Ange about the third Kingsguard design. KInda just seems like a normal dude. That said, I LOVE Pitou and the butterfly dude's design. Pitou in particular is such a good design because she's the most menacing, psychopathic creature beneath an unassuming, almost "cute" exterior. Kinda like a psychopathic cat that toys with its prey. All in all, I thought the character designs of the Chimera Ant arc weren't great but the story makes up for it in spades.

2024-03-16 00:48:06 +0000 UTCBisky told the same thing as Morel (Smoke Hunter) : the way Killua consider fights is a loser way. In the Hunter world and Nen fights, power means next to nothing. Strategy and the way you built your Nen are the keys. The strongest Phantom Troupe member in physical power (Uvogin) with his years of training and understanding of Nen, a master Enhancer, couldnt break Kurapika's chains. Why ? Because Kurapika made his power work like that. So when Killua meet someone "stronger", he considers he cant win. In any manga / anime, it would make him a clever fighter. In HxH, it means he doesnt understand the very basics of Nen Fighting. Gon being a reckless boy actually means he, naturally, fight better as of now. That's why Morel said he had potential when he first met the boys at the frontier. When Morel said it, people tend to be suspicious of him and dont believe him, because he is unaware of the Ants threat. But the truth is that he was just stating a fact, confirmed now by Bisky. Now the real question is "how will Killua work to change that ?" I love this arc so much.

2024-03-15 20:59:37 +0000 UTCLove the discussion about Killua at the end, especially Ange bringing up what happened at the end of the Hunter Exam with Illumi saying all those things to Killua. Killua is badass but if you look back, he hasn't really beaten or even challenged an opponent who's stronger than him. Meanwhile, Gon has gone against Hisoka and The Bomber. The one time Killua tried to challenge someone stronger than him was when he and Gon got captured by the Troupe, and Nobunaga (sword guy) was guarding them. Killua was thinking about when Hisoka threatened to kill him if he moved, and was wondering if he would have been able to go against Hisoka in order to protect Gon. Then, flashes of Illumi saying he can't do it and to never fight an opponent he can't defeat ran through his mind. He then tried to challenge Nobunaga but backed down. ^That was in 12:58 of episode 50 if you wanna go back and look at it. Basically this attitude that Killua has as a result of Illumi's training was already highlighted/foreshadowed even way back in Yorknew arc. This was also evident with his talk with Gon in one of the previous episodes. Killua told Gon that it's always better to know the opponent's ability first before going into a fight, but Gon told him that in NGL, they won't always have the luxury of knowing what their opponents' abilities are. Basically what Ange said was correct. The decision to run from Pitou was good, but Killua still has to grow from his current state.
