2024-02-04 02:36:49 +0000 UTCThe changes between the director’s cut are so minimal when compared to the original series. It literally doesn’t matter either way. This ending is perfectly fine when they are watching the whole series. If Season 1 were the only season available then it would make sense. But there is zero reason to go and watch the last episode of the director’s cut when they’ll be seeing the SAME scene as the first scene of Season 2. Season 1’s end is a good satisfying wrap on that arc while they watch the OVAs.

This alternate version also extends certain scenes, fixes a few censorship issues, and has everything (including the OVA) in chronological order. The cherry on top is that the ending also includes a scene that was cut out of the original season

Do people not remember that the post-credit scene for the director’s cut is LITERALLY the first scene of Season 2? Why would someone go out of their way to watch it twice. 2024-02-03 18:05:16 +0000 UTCA couple things 1. The reason Wilhelm killed Betelgeuse so quick before was because they sneak attacked him from behind before he was aware. Julius still handled him but without a manner to see his hands he needed Subaru and he was basically fighting in third person and needed to ramp up to kill him. Otherwise he would’ve folded him fast. 2. Subaru wrote something like “the end” in the gospel. 3. Based on your discussions I think you guys will come to the correct conclusion to what happened with the blank letter soon.

That being said, I feel like the black letter should come up again, because that's way to dangerous of a mistake to make carelessly. More likely, someone was trying to sabotage the Crush-Emilia alliance (just my theory)
