2024-01-30 18:47:03 +0000 UTCas you said there's no proof but it boils down to what is the trigger for revival and how the power works. if it is death of the body that sends subaru soul back to where body was fine then it brings question what happens if soul dies when body is fine. one posibility is that if soul dies or someting happens to it while body is fine then he revives again as per his powers in which case his body would never be able to become permanent vessel (or rather anime would continue off from point where soul goes back in time after body gets taken over), other possibility would be that he loses the power and dies for real... either way as you said no proof but it is interesting to theorize

Cuz if BetelG kept that body, until someone takes him down, I think Subaru cannot go back to the check point. That can take years, or even never. Since BetelG said that he has finally found a great vessel, i’m sure he would’ve escaped from that scene taking off with Subaru’s body.

It makes rewatches a lot of fun and is just one of the reasons this show is such a hit on the reaction circuit.

You learn from the light novel that people get a book sent to them as an invitation to join the Cult. That's why everyone thinks he has one on him because his "smell" makes them think he's a member of their cult and must have gotten a book sent to him.
