i think this episode is a good tie in to goshiki's moment in s3, when leon tells him "why do you think the coach yells at you the most? because he counts on you the most.". coach washijo has such boomer coaching, where its harsh, "come to learn stuff for yourself" kind of coaching instead of spoonfeeding, and with ukai jr., who was also under ukai sr. (another boomer harsh coach), ukai jr. /knows/ there will be a lot to learn. so i gravitate to ange's perpective here more! also, i love being reminded that as karasuno being crows, they will always pick off of others, see what they like, yoink it, and become this mix of the best of the teams they play against! so cool.
