Also, small thing, if you manage to do so, I think squeezing another episode of Re:Zero in next week would cap off some things very well instead of waiting another week.

I know it's sometimes really tempting to say something about a detail that could be figured out by the end of an episode and might not be mentioned but I think letting them have those, "Holy shit! That's what that was!?" moments are integral to their enjoyment of the series. I knew NOTHING about Re: Zero when I first saw it and it became one of my favorite anime of all time.

It's fine if you anglicize a name that is being borrowed from Western traditions by the Japanese language, after all. If a character in the show had a name that was spelled "Johnny" but the characters in the show said it in their Japanese broken-English type way, you would say it the right way as opposed to the characters' way, right? This is like that. Great job tying the ice and snow to Emilia's magic. Why else would it randomly start snowing specifically around Emilia's home, right? I wonder who else we've seen use ice magic in the past... Also, it's really funny how Carlie comes up with the "a witch is hiding in Subaru's shadow and she's Pride" theory, and then from that point on that's the frame of reference for the discussion. It's like the "Dragon and Witch of Envy are in cahoots" thing all over again lol. NOT dogging on the theory, though. It makes sense.

That's why he was upset when Subaru was being catatonic. He was like, insulted, that Subaru is acting crazed and mad, because in his eyes, Subaru is still very "sober" lol 🤣 And therefore, like he said, he is undeserving of that "love" that he keeps bringing up. But yeah, this episode is the baseline of what to expect moving forward...this isn't a cute and cuddle show all the time ;) And sometimes, SOMETIMES, the scary thing to worry about is not an IKEA chair.

Us: 👀 lol I know you guys really wished the beast at the end of EP15 said "REMure", but it was actually "nemure", which literally translates to "go to sleep". I love these moments with reactors because I tend to forget that people that don't know Japanese have a hard time hearing the specific syllables and consonants (understandably so), and they hear a different word/name entirely. Betelgeuse is one of the most unhinged, yet also bizarrely sane, characters you will ever see in a show. Also, remember the ending scene from the Demon Slayer Entertainment District arc where the credits rolled after a certain scene? That moment reminded me of this show's EP15 ending, where in both situations, I thought to myself: "What the f**k just happened..." Here, at least we got a post credits scene, showcasing Subaru's resolve, and anger, to eliminate Betelgeuse.

Betelgeuse's reveal, Rem's horrible contortion/murder, Subaru freezing to death into the credits, and that last shot of Rem being all happy next to Subaru while he looks ready to kill someone while the audio fades out so all you hear are his footsteps. So many memorable moments. Edit: Also, Betelgeuse is actually a star in our night sky that this character is named after. In English, it can be pronounced just like "beetlejuice" or you can say it more like "bettle-gyoose" if you'd prefer
