I think you missed when Todo lost his arm he used Mahito's own hand to clap with him and that's how he changed with Yuji and what almost got him transfigured.

2023-12-19 09:10:15 +0000 UTCsaying all that and then comparing it to nen is very contradictory. nen is very versatile and there is no rule regarding what someone nen power is. even those who are limited by their specialization (enhancer, conjurer etc...) can ignore all that and still go and master things from different cattegories (but not to 100%). it is because i thought it is similar to nen that i believed todo could just learn new technique. but if he cant because of reasons you mentioned then it is not at all like nen. and also that sucks for todo then, i will miss his clapping

2023-12-17 03:58:30 +0000 UTCi didint read the manga, that was just my take. considering sukuna was just smiling at mahito i think mahito found a loophole where he gets to touch sukuna and then "run away" by ending the domain before sukuna retaliates. (that was 0.2 seconds interaction even though that make no sense. it would be more plausible if all they shared was the looks and dialoge was happening in mahito's head)

And the power system is 'hard' which means there are very hard and structured rules to how the power system works, its very much like Nen in that way. I haven't read the manga either but that does seem like how it works based on what i've seen so far

2023-12-16 04:33:06 +0000 UTCi dont think that is all there is to that scene though. i rewatched the initial fight with nanami and itadori vs mahito to make sure and when yuji manage to break inside the domain expansion sukuna "Punish" mahito and pierces his body, heavily injuring him, but he did not swap places with itadori. in fact itadori does not even realize what happened and it is only later on after nanami explains to him what happened that he gets disappointed and angry that once again he prevailed because of sukuna's interference and not because of his own merits. why i bring this up is because it means sukuna can harm mahito inside his domain without swapping with itadori. By creating domain expansion for only 0.2 seconds and immediately ending it i think mahito essentially did what he wanted aka "touched" everyone in domain for 0.2 seconds (enough for his ability to activate on todo) and removed domain reaction before sukuna could do anything. if sukuna wanted to punish mahito for touching his soul he would need to take over itadori's body again as opposed to doing it the way he did it first time. that is why mahito was cocky cause he knew sukuna wont be able to harm him the same way as domain expansion is already gone. although there was no garantee that sukuna wont simply take over the body (to anyone's knowledge inside the anime at least) so him being a child does play a role in this as well

I don't know but I just kind of got a parallel like that. It looked like geto as Vegeta was looking down at a useless nappa in mahito

Mahito being a little shit to the KING OF CURSES, and Sukuna just smiling at him, probably barely listening - just humoring the babbling of a child 😂. And then us being reminded just how "childlike"/young Mahito is with his fearful tantrum after being defeated....excellent!

2023-12-15 16:14:38 +0000 UTCyujis development is probably one of my favorite parts of this arc, this ep is heavy on the narrative side of the story through dialogue, all the references, mahito being the one that guides itadori to his conclusion through cruelty and pain and todo playing a big part on it too but in a positive way, the whole dynamic of yuji and mahito is just genius imo, and as much as i hate mahito, the construction of his character and what we can learn from it is insane. thanks for the reaction♡ jjk is peak!!

I hate him so much and I need him to d*e ASAP 😭 Also, going back to Todo..the line "hands are just decoration. The act of applause is an acclimation of the soul" is epic but so heartbreaking because the last clap Todo did with Mahito's hand altered Todo's soul forever so Todo can never do his Boogie Woogie technique again 😭 All I want is Todo to live and be with his brother Yuji 😢
