2023-12-15 20:28:37 +0000 UTCit definitely has potential to be on their radar but it might be a while before they consider it. considering JJK season will be over and open a new slot and same goes for spy x family that is 2 free slots to be filled in. personally i think they are enjoying haikyuu and might be pushing that more than other stuff seeing how we get 3 episodes and reactions come sooner than expected from time to time etc... i think haikyuu slot will be freed up as well within next month or so. seeing how YLIA will most probably take over the slot from spy x family unless i am mistaken, and personally i think they will replace JJK with something that has similar vibes (maybe chainsawman or something else that is still riding the hypetrain of being pretty new anime) and bluelock will take over haikyuu, i htink k-on will be on backburner as potential reaction content until AFTER YLIA. but seeing how that is a time period that cross into 2024 you need to keep in mind all the new 2024 anime that will be taking up slots for "by release" reactions as they are doing with jjk right now. ofc there is no confirmation for any of this but i think it is highly likely they will be covering "solo leveling" the same way they are doing JJK, and they will definitely be putting stuff aside to make room for demon slayer EDIT: and just my personal take on comment above, they are not spamming every reaction, i only see this comment once every day so even though annoying to some of the others, they are at least being respectful and true to their words about their intentions and as they are keeping promise of "only one per day" that means they would probably stay true to their words and stop if A&C ask them to so i dont see much harm in them keep doing it, i am just trying to give them realistic feedback and info regarding the odds of them picking it up and when

He had a lot of the tide turning receives like the first rally after Tsukki got hurt, Goshiki's spike, and the Shiratorizawa match point. And he scored the point to get them out of it as well. But another big thing he did is kinda instill some confidence into Yamaguchi before his first serve and then he went on that little run which was also important since Yamaguchi didn't have the emotional support of Tsukki that he would normally have. Sorry for a rant but also seeing that Daichi hadn't gotten a MVP this season yet, I figured I'd kinda make a case for him. 😅

Yachi talked about "mobbing" in this season as well where multiple crows work together to drive off a stronger/bigger bird. and ofcourse Oikawa his quote when he said "be carefull, if crows flock they might even kill a huge eagle". they refernce this amazing fight between the birds a whole bunch.

It is possible, I've seen it happen before, especially if the hitter tries to do a feint or a trick shot instead of a spike, it might softly touch the blocker's hand and then he can touch it again before it falls.

Of course they are fantastically written but you can just tell how much they give 120% to this sport. For me my MVPs are episode 6 - Tsukki (how good his game sense was and how he adjusted for kageyama’s error) but Hinata is a good choice too episode 7 - Ushiwaka (love your other choices but yeah he dominated that episode) episode 8 - this is hardest one! … but honestly for me it has to go to coach Ukai. His VA’s last quote literally lives rent free in my mind.

2023-12-14 11:44:18 +0000 UTCit almost never happens to pull it off but it is allowed to touch ball twice under certain circumstances. it is humanly near impossible but if a player "one touch" the ball during block and it bounces up, same person is still allowed to touch the ball again as one touch does not count towards the usual 3. but the speed of ball and person being mid-air during block means they will almost never be in situation where they are best player to touch the ball first

2023-12-14 11:27:27 +0000 UTCsome numbercrunching for you. 36 episodes, even if they dedicate themselves to do 2 episodes per week that means minimum of 18 weeks. that is roughly 4 months or so. that is 4 months they lose the watch time they could have used to watch something super popular that is garanteed to give them new viewers and help their channel grow. and thats also 4 months of their algorhythm going through worst rollercoaster and all for sake of single individual? even if i give you benefit of doubt that like on your post is not your own that sums up to total of 2 people wanting K-On reactions. That being said i am not advocating that K-On is bad anime, it is just nowhere near the top and for youtube channels to grow they need to be on the top or youtube will just ruin their channel with algorhythm stuff. realistically speaking, they would need to grow to point where they can afford to watch anime and not care about views and keep those restricted to patreon only while keep releasing mainstream and trending stuff on youtube for algorhythm which wont happen for a while. be patient not obnoxious. thank you for listening to my TED talk

His actual ideology changed after he was'nt selected for his team. he went from finding a way to fight when you're small to finding simple strengths like height and power. It was mentioned even before that washijo sensei (shiratorizawa coach) likes height and power above anything else and despises superflous things like new tactics and such. This will be visited more in the next 2 episodes

You usually wanna aim pretty close over the net in order to make them have to get low to pass it but im sure there are some people that are so accurate that they get 'lucky' more often than others

I started off as a spiker but I transitioned to being a setter about a year ago. Being a setter is so much more tiring especially when you don't have consistent and good passes, and for how many times we get the ball up but Kageyama has to run to the location in order to set it just shows how much of a stamina monster he is. Him being gassed is valid lol

2023-12-13 22:06:16 +0000 UTCIn my 3 years playing high school volleyball competitively, aiming for the net was never a thing, but the ball did accidentally hit the net a shit ton of times when players were trying to serve aggressively, since the trajectory of the ball tended to be way lower. That said, the level of volleyball we see in Haikyuu is way more in par with the olympics than it is with highschool volleyball, and we did see that Yamaguchi is a player that does aim for the net, so it is possible that Ushiwaka did also aim for the net.

It's actually overruled because it's off of Tsuki's hand, which is why the ref gives the block touch signal and Tsuki's finger is cut.

This is also why it’s so touching when the original VA’s last words in the show is “Don’t you dare look down! Volleyball is a sport where you’re always looking up!” Episode 8 MVP is undoubtedly Coach Ukai (ofc the VA too) because that one point they lost there was massive which explains why the team was devastated when they lost that point and if it wasn’t for Coach Ukai’s words, the team would’ve collapsed right there.

"Land vs. Air" & "Path of the ball" It's canon and in the manga, but because there isn't too much time in 2 OVAs they had to cut quite a bit out. Which is unfortunate, since some of the cut stuff I enjoyed the most of this mini arc. But I do still like it.

So I have a but of a soft spot for Ushijima. And like the fact that he doesn't want to be a volleyball player like his dad, but instead wants to be the like the guy who inspired his dad is just too wholesome for words.

2023-12-13 20:48:36 +0000 UTCOne minor clarification in case you didn't notice, the same player is allowed to touch the ball twice in the same play, as long as he doesn't touch it twice in a row. So you can receive, let someone else toss it, and then hit it yourself. This is allowed. The reason why Karasuno is trying to serve directly towards Ushiwaka is because when he receives it it will be difficult for him to hit it as well, even if it's allowed, it will be more tricky.

2023-12-13 20:45:27 +0000 UTCLet's Go!! This season is crazy... it gets you hyped from every direction XD. About Ushiwaka's Net-In serve. It was not intentional. It's impossible to aim for that. In fact, when this happens in real life, sometimes you'll see the server show a gesture of apology to the opposing team because he got a point by luck :) I loved when Ushiwaka missed a serve as well. Haikyuu is quite realistic, even best sport players in the world miss sometimes, nevermind the best players in school level. We saw that with Oikawa, he missed some serves too, it's normal.

Shiratorizawa was at match point, and if Noya hadn't received Ushiwaka's demon serve, Karasuno would have lost immediately. Earlier, he also set the ball when Kageyama received first and therefore couldn't set it up. That put us in the lead, 21-20. He also received the serve from their pinch server, which led to Hinata and Kageyama's crazy quick! In conclusion, I believe Noya deserves some recognition as MVP of 3x6, as opposed to Hinata. Hinata was clutch, but often because of the less flashy defensive work and set-ups that Noya provides. Also, Hinata has 3 MVPs now, and Noya deserves at least one for this season. And the last line he recorded was "Volleyball is a sport where you're always looking up." It was so iconic and powerful that the Haikyu official season 3 soundtrack album opens with that line. 😭

They say it touched a tiny bit of the line and that's why it was overruled, but it was actually overruled because Tsukki was the last player to touch it before it went out (which you can see from the ref's hand signal, a horizontal hand brushing the fingertips). Would be weird to somehow hurt your hand on a play the ball didn't even touch you 😂
