2023-12-08 12:46:23 +0000 UTCto avoid confusion, im not the OP of this thread im just building on it :D 1- ehhh i wouldn't say it shouldn't "exist" ( i agree with santini here) but let's just say it like "WHY does HE have it", it throws some people off, they're not expecting it, they're not seeing it daily etc. An example of IRL can be seen like "Tipping" at a restaurant or "tax not included", it may seem normal and it's fine for some countries but for other countries the people there have NEVER seen that culture and are thrown off, and vice versa. 2- correct, Rem died of the curse that subaru would have died from BEFORE subary jumped off the cliff. 3- Correct. AND beatrice was WITH subaru the ENTIRE night, watching, so not only is it a proof that subaru didn't kill Rem or do anything to her, but also that Rem and beatrice themselves didnt interact that night... which is something to make sure carlie/ange are clear on : beatrice couldnt have killed Rem as a defense if Rem was trying to kill subary, both Beako and Subaru didnt interact with Rem that night so Rem died from another reason. And the only thing we can learn from this is that Beatrice did NOT attempt to kill subaru with a mana draining curse while she's one of the only 2 that CAN do the mana draining curse (the other one being Puk). 4- ehh both of u are right on this. It's up for interpretation but it's heavily implied that one day he died in his sleep "peacefully" apparently, and the other couple of times he was brutally murdered in what seemed to be different ways while also cursed on top (which i give u the benefit that we CAN maybe believe he's been cursed from before, but since he came straight to the mansion from the loot house and Rem died from the same thing inflicing him separately? it stands to reason THEN that what subaru was cursed with wasn't something always in him but something Rem contracted separately... and the argument that "rem got cursed because she held subaru hand" doesnt apply either because both Rem and Ram were holdign both hands according to his last revelation before yeeting off the cliff :D

2023-12-08 12:40:39 +0000 UTCMy boy, if you're going to give information to help clear things up, at least make sure it's accurate. 1. You said the scent "shouldn't exist." Who said that? 2. REM (blue hair) died from a curse before Subaru jumped off the cliff in the last episode. 3. Correct. 4. Carlie and Ange don't know when Subaru was afflicted with said curse, so... there's that to keep in mind.

2023-12-07 20:51:39 +0000 UTCYou guys are a bit confused (No Spoilers) Please read this: 1) Subaru has the Witch of Envy's Scent on him, a vile Jealous thing that should never exist, few speak her name (Satella) that destroyed half the world or something like that (according to Ram when they told the stories about ogres). Whatever it is, it causes him to return by death. And grabs his heart when he speaks too much. 2) Rem died by a curse. Subaru's scent does not kill him in his sleep. 3) Beatrice protected Subaru in her realm, the library for the entire time, nobody was able to come in contact with Subaru at all during this time. 4) There is a curse, Subaru DIED of said curse in his previous previous life. Meaning from said death he reset and isn't cursed anymore. Meaning that touching him wouldnt' pass on a curse he doesn't have.

2023-12-05 23:40:15 +0000 UTCThe directors cut is just a shortened series, it has 2 episodes generally spliced together. There's a tiny bit of additional footage in certain episodes. (For instance in the episode where you guys thought the chair was killing Subaru, in the directors cut you see Subaru's eye roll out, telling you that whatever happened, his head was crushed completely) OFFICIALLY the witch's miasma hasn't been explained in the anime yet, nor has there been a reason why only certain people can smell it. There has been an explanation for why only certain people can smell it, but again it's not been said in the anime as of yet. Oh yeah and this was the episode where Subaru finally stopped treating this as an RPG and as a real place, it was Ram's grief over Rem's death that made it come home to him
