For sports, I would suggest: Ace of the Diamond, Run With the Wind, and Ao Ashi. :)

The scenes are beautiful, the music is out of this world and the story will pull at your heartstrings. Many other reactors have reacted to this list and it always brings them to tears and astonishment. I know neither of you have played the game, but the cutscenes are amazing regardless. It's a beautiful and heartwrenching anime adventure. I have curated a playlist for you.
