2023-11-26 20:59:50 +0000 UTCjust so you guys know i justy watched ep 13 and you guys talked about how some english words sound weird in the anime, my guess is that these words are not meant to be english. In German some words a also written the same as english words like the Legion and are said that way. i think thats the case cause many words are in german in the anime like the codename from one of the members of the speerhead (Kirschblüte) -> cheryblossem or sakura.

She's got the death squad. always undersupplied and without any reinforcements. Shin is clearly built different AND he has super powers that lets him see the Legion coming and his squad only has 5 left. Bloody Lena managed to keep 9 alive. It doesn't sound like it, but she did GREAT.

Its unlucky they couldnt binge the season as we did, guarantee Carlie would have no tears left by episode 20(without the major finale). Although I genuinely appreciate their way of absorbing the animes full effect, hopefully that get hit full blast by the 86 gang!!

The way they explained why there were only child soldiers left to fight was well done and made sense and didn't feel like they were just kids because of their target audience/fanservice.

It was at the end of episode 2, she asked the 86 about their plans after the 5 years of military service and told Shin to start thinking about what he wants to do (she still believed the 86 would become free citizens). Ernst might have talked about their future as well, but when Frederica talked to Shin, it reminded him of Lena.

2023-11-20 17:22:55 +0000 UTCThe way Frederica's ability works is she can see through anyone as long as she knows their name, but she can't hear anything from what she sees. What she saw the first time was Kiri attacking the Republic in real time. It's also why Shin said she shouldn't have talked to Eugene because she learned his name and inevitably saw him die. It was around this time in the light novel that certain abilities were explained, but they couldn't do it in the anime because they took the racial and ethnic system out. Shin is a Onyx/Pyrope mix. The Onyx are a warrior race and are known for their increased physical strength/abilities and it's also where Shin gets his ability to walk silently, a Nouzen family trait. Back in part 1 it was explained that the Para-RAID was based off of Shin's family's ability to telepathically share their senses. This is a psychic ability of the Pyrope race. These abilities don't manifest in everyone and have become increasingly rare due to the mixing of different bloodlines. Noble houses try to keep their bloodline pure and those with mixed blood are looked down upon, which is why Shin's parents left Giad for the Republic. Their families didn't approve of their union and basically disowned them. Thank you for the update, looking forward to the next one!

If the 86 did just bail and let the Alba get wiped out, he'd have no problem with it, in fact he thinks it's what SHOULD happen. When he says "if we're lucky, it'll just be a massacre", he's leaving the vengeance and pillaging part out, which is unfortunately way too common in these types of situations. Despite all that, he still walks his ass to the front lines with a rifle to buy Lena time so that her idealist dream gets one last chance of becoming the new reality instead of the corrupt system he's been stuck in for a decade.
