2023-11-27 00:56:16 +0000 UTCI think weathering with you, i want to eat your pancreas and the tunnel to summer, the exit to goodbye is great movies for a reaction or watchalong. I do recommend maquia and grave of fireflies but i think my soul can’t take a second watch. One of my favorites of the ghibli verse is from up on poppy hill and when the wind rises, i really like them because one of the is so wholesome and the other is relatable considering what im majoring in uni, but I wouldn’t recommend them just yet because there are so many you need to try first

I thought it would be a "must-watch in a lifetime" coz you could only watch it once in bravery 🥲 Carlie will become Kurapika by the end of the movie, for sure. It's also an excellent challenge for Ange to "sweat" more in the channel 😂

2023-11-17 02:00:14 +0000 UTCAkira is an amazing film, with great animation and a shot that's been paid homage to by more animated and live action shows and movie than just about any I can think of off the top of my head. It won't make a lick of sense because its the anti-hobbit. Rather then stretch out one book across three movies like butter across too much bread, they crammed a six volume manga series into one film, like twenty pounds of beans stuffed into a five pound can.

2023-11-16 21:39:34 +0000 UTCThis is my favorite movie of all-time, not just anime, but any movie. So happy to have your reaction to it as well. Makoto Shinkai is a legend and Radwimps never misses with their music. All Shinkai movies are great, so definitely recommendation to watch all of them. Weathering With You is the usual continuation (has a cameo from Taki and Mitsuha). I Want to Eat Your Pancreas is a movie that is in my anime top 3 with Your Name and Silent Voice so that's definitely worth a watch too.

Two movies that go together but will change your views depending on which one you watch first are To Me, The One Who Loved You and To Every You I've Love Before

2023-11-16 20:54:15 +0000 UTCany Ghibli movie, honestly. like I said before, some of them are a bit "weird", but you already saw that in Spirited Away. the themes and message may not always be obvious at first glance. but they always have beautiful animation and music. Weathering With You and Suzume are also great, even though nothing beats Your Name for me.

2023-11-16 20:07:03 +0000 UTCPlease do watch Grave of the fireflies sometime. The subject matter is heavy, even though it's a Ghibli film, I admit, but it's a tale that needs to to be experienced. This movie is not just one the best Ghibli movies ever made but it is also IMO one of the greatest anti-war movies ever made, period. Do not watch it twice.

Its a sort of fantastical movie themed about free running in a post apocalyptic-ish setting and the theme is done by Eve, the person who did the first jjk op and 'Words bubble up like soda pop' is a more slice of life style movie about a shy boy who writes haikus meeting an outgoing but very self concious girl.
