2023-11-11 15:32:18 +0000 UTCGood convo at the end. One thing I would like to say is that this show isn't like any other shonen where good is depicted as good and evil is depicted as evil. There isn't any good or evil. Everything is normalised. Killua beaten with a whip is normal for the Zoldycks, Gon getting his way by any means is normal for him (Leorio and Kurapika have seen this as well), Hisoka having pleasurable (arguably sexual-like desires) for people with potential in combat ability, is normal to him. These are a few examples. The point is, there isn't any moral framework that runs in this world of Hxh. We have our own framework of what is right and wrong and what the show does brilliantly is it challenges everything you stand up for. That's what I think other Shonen have differently when compared to Hxh. We have a moral framework for other shows that seem normal to the human world. But this show takes it to a whole new level where morality is in a grey area and not visibly seen as black or white. It's a world of mystery. But ye just a thought
