He's old, he's already reached his potential, he has no room for growth, and the level that he's got with his potential isn't enough to tingle Hisoka. So that's why he doesn't interest Hisoka. In the case of Gon and others though, they have incredible potential and room for growth.

Illumi is Killua's teacher, and also has about 6/7 years more experience than him. Any fight between them would be no contest. Illumi knows this and uses it against him, gaslighting Killua into thinking that if he doesn't fight him - a useless gesture - he is not worthy of having a friend. Bastard. Hisoka's face when Illumi threatened to kill Gon! 😂😂😂. I wonder what would have happened if Illumi had chosen to fight past the 3 guarding the door. I don't think any of them could have stopped him, or even slowed him down. Not even Hanzo. You commented that their eyes were not alike, but look at the way Killua's eyes were drawn after he conceded the fight to his brother. They were pale blue - no pupils. One colour, just like Illumi's. So sad - looking forward to Gon confronting Illumi!

Once they have reached their full potential, that is when they are most interesting to Hisoka, because at that point they are worth killing.
