I only found him amusing up to the point he served as a useful introduction to Killua (who was happily drinking his spiked juice). After that, I wanted him gone.

I don't think it'll get adapted into anime any time soon so I think it'd be safe for you guys to read it or know more about it. It goes in excruciating detail about how his clan was massacred. It's not really a spoiler but I'll leave a spoiler warning if you don't wanna read it. (Spoiler Warning Even Though IT's Not Really A Spoiler) "Family members were sat down facing each other. They were stabbed multiple times and had their heads severed while still alive. Pure Kurta clan members had both eyes gouged out. The eyes of outsiders who married into the clan remained, but were squashed. They had sustained more brutal wounds than other members of the clan. The perpetrators mutilated the children more frequently and brutally in front of their parents in order to produce a more vivid scarlet color on their eyes"
