There are a lot of things to consider, however: logistics, trustworthiness, competitive worthiness, hiding strats, etc.. which is why it was commented that these practice groups are built upon long years of maintaining connections, which Karasuno has none of (Nekoma is the only team they're on friendly terms with).

2023-10-28 10:14:23 +0000 UTCi love how haikyuu breaks the social stereotype and agenda about introverts and extroverts. people are generally convinced that if you are introvert (socializing drains energy and being surrounded with people is tiring) you must be antisocial and vice versa, extroverts (socializing rejuvenates and being alone is tiring) are always the most social people. Shimizu is very much antisocial and can't make herself speak in front of others without feeling anxious but in spite of that she is very extrovert and it is spending time with the volleyball team that she cherish and gives her energy. Normally you'd expect her to be introvert with the way she acts as if she was forced in role of manager agaisnt her will or something. and now again with Yachi, she is just a giant ball of anxiety compressed and wrapped with a bowtie. She is so cute but so awkward in any social interaction that you'd assume she must be introvert and you'd be correct. yachi is very introvert but in the same time in spite of her social awkwardness she is one of the most socially positive characters when you get to know her. Just the scene after the study session in class 1.5 shows how introvert she is because even that one time period she spent with two people drained all her energy but not once until moment they separated did she feel like she dont want to be there. She wants to socialize, she is just not built for it which is what the cruel joke of predetermined social type (extrovert/introvert) is about and haikyuu did amazing job portraying it without making it intrusive or too much on the nose or break the flow of the anime / steal the thunder of the main topic

Then I realized it was just the full length, which I don't have access to, so I upgraded to Full Jellie in order to watch it ASAP. This is what Haikyuu does to me. I don't even care about sports, but for years this has been my favorite anime. No contest. Can't get enough of it. Thanks for loving it as much as any long-time fan! Love your reactions! (And I appreciate the Tanaka and Suga love. They can often get overshadowed by other characters in this show, and I love that you always call them out when they have a nice moment.)

2023-10-09 12:14:12 +0000 UTCEven though Aussie doesn't have many states, just pretend that we do. Winner (first place) of the preliminaries in Victoria will represent Victoria and go to nationals. Winner (first place) of the preliminaries in NSW will represent NSW at nationals. However, take into account Japan has 47 prefectures. So essentially approx 47 schools will represent their prefecture and go to nationals. Also to note, depending on the size of the prefecture the number of representatives will increase. For example Karasuno is from Miyagi Prefecture which is smaller than Tokyo. This means Miyagi can only have the high school who places 1st (one representative) to go to nationals. Whereas, Nekoma comes from Tokyo which is much bigger, so they might have 2 representatives of their prefecture that can go to nationals. For example, NSW in Aussie might have 3 representatives (top 3 high schools) represent NSW. While Tasmania is much smaller will only have 1 representative. This is just an example for you guys to understand. I know that we can't compare Australian states to Japanese prefectures. Just note that Karasuno and Nekoma will never play against each other unless they both qualify for nationals and can represent their prefecture. But for that to happen they need to both get stronger! (I might repost this comment in later episodes if you guys are still confused.)

It just feels so rewarding when you see the process from where they started to where they are, when it's finally gametime. Also…yes Saeko (Tanakas sister) is absolutely worth mentioning. Ange will love her, because she loves Tanaka just as much as Ange does😆 In the chapter she was introduced we got her character info sheet and her Current Worry was: "Girls just don't understand how cool her baby brother is!" Isn't this just the cutest?! "I'm Hinata Shoyo, from the concrete." Iconic! Gets me hype everytime. Yeeesss the Tanaka Hinata friendship/mentorship is awesome i love it. But you can't forget Noya, they are the chaotic hype trio lol Yayy Yachi is heere! And so many more new great characters to come, can't wait. 13:35 Carlie's look🤣🤣🤣 Tsukki is a slooooww burn lol. They can only meet in an official match if they both beat all the schools in their region and qualify for the national tournament. Japan has 47 total prefectures / states/ provinces.

2023-10-08 17:04:34 +0000 UTCI don’t know how well it translates to Australia, but you can think of the *fall prefecture* tournament as similar to a state tournament in the US. So pretend Karasuno is from Oregon and Nekoma is from California. They would have to compete in their own state tournament before they can move on to the national US tournament so to speak. Sorry I really don’t know much about Australia (classic American here), so I can’t apply it directly, but hopefully that helps things a bit *edit* mistakenly called it the spring tournament, thanks for clarifying emma!

They will hold the nationals rotationally so if the town holding the tournament is big, like tokyo, they would have more than one team representing tokyo whereas a small town like miyagi where karasuno is, they will only have one representative team.

His name is Ushijima Wakatoshi and Ushiwaka is a nickname taking the Ushi from Ushijima and the Waka from Wakatoshi. There is also a famous figure from Japanese history named Ushiwaka or Ushiwakamaru(Young Bull).
