Also, just a note on the full length reactions. We took on some of your feedback from a few days ago. We feel like the best compromise, is to blur "uneventful" and filler scenes where we are NOT reacting or saying anything. This will not be too jarring as you wont miss out on much at all. This helps us fall under fair use. The blurring should occur for no more than 30-40% of the video! Hope you are all okay with that. It's seemed to have a pretty positive response so far.

Now on to your discussion on the old ladies cursed technique and I think whomever she does bring back does have access to their Cursed techniques. If you remember Gojo training Yuji with movies he tells him that innate techniques like Infinity, or Ten Shadows are innately attached to the sorcerer since birth, or in other words it's attached to the body. This is most likely why the brain parasite wanted Getou's body because it gives it access to the Cursed Manipulation Technique and all the Curses he had accumulated. Genetically inherited Cursed techniques are a big thing in JJK it also explains why so many sorcerers have unique abilities only to them as opposed to learned abilities like Barriers, body reinforcement, black flash, New Shadow Style or simple domain. I also find it interesting that Getou and Mahito were having that conversation about whether a soul and body were intrinsically connected. It ties pretty closely to what is happening here. It's very probable that Toji has all his abilities otherwise why bother summoning him specifically in the first place. The trade off is that she most likely used up all her cursed energy in order to summon him. There's a cost to these sorts of things. But Ange has a good point, Toji doesn't use cursed energy, so that might come into play.

Unless the clan thought that leaving his remains unguarded would be dangerous for all intents and purposes he left the clan and for the most part he was considered dead to them. They hated him when he was alive so it's likely they just buried him with his wife or in some unmarked grave.

But you know how fragile JJK world can be, there will be many 'exceptions', 'explained in the fanbook', 'not explained yet', 'find more in the interview', and 'hidden effects'. We could be both right but if I had to pick one, the birth name seems convincing to me if its not an translation issue especially when the name given to a person works pretty powerfully in these kinds of fantasy worlds. Like names tied with its fate kinda thing. Also the 'peak' of Toji is pretty vague, there are lots of assumptions from a couple of words. Like how much time has passed, did Toji not work at all with a new name? Is having a family only worked negatively for him? who knows, Gege can just add in whatever later as he pleases

The capsule had Touji's remains in it (probably was tough to get hold of it because he was one of the big clan). it also mentioned that the use of a name the person was given at birth is standard practice in seance.

2023-10-06 14:41:08 +0000 UTCGege Akutami, the author, said in an interview that when the granny does her seance technique, she summons the person as they were at their peak, so Toji Zen’in is supposedly stronger than Toji Fushiguro, and this makes sense because in episode 3 before he killed gojo he said he was a little rusty, and after he killed gojo he said he was starting to get back into the swing of things. This implies that when he was younger (and still a Zen’in) he was more lethal.
