We are looking to blur some unexciting scenes and for long period of times where we're not saying anything. It shouldnt be too jarring and likely wont affect your viewing experience. This is the best compromise we could come up with!

2023-10-06 16:40:43 +0000 UTCBlur is fine, though I'd say lower it a tiny bit so any subs that end up on top aren't obscured. As for the episode: Yeah this one is pretty heavy. Good eye in seeing that the Alba inside the wall are safe, but reliant on processed foods and a sterile environment while the 86 have access to a wide range of natural foods despite being on the edge of a warzone. Theo's outburst was harsh, but fair. Lena was subconsciously still separating herself from them, I mean she asked for the cat's name before she asked for any of theirs.

And an all time monologue to end it (by Laughing Fox- Theo) The video is fine, you’re supposed to watch the reaction/ reactor, after all. Also the most epic flailing, bug squishing break ever, hope you got it!

Some are relevant to the story and some are just cool details. It makes the story better once you get to know the small little detail the put in the show. There is a youtuber called ctrlaltQQ made a 3 part video explaining most of them. Check it out if you can. If you decide to watch or even react to it, watch part one after the first cour (episode 11) and part 2 and 3 after you finish the rest of the show. The video title is 86 Eighty Six - Details, Symbolism Explained! And the new format is fine, love the change. Keep up the good work

I remember cleaning out my grandmother's attic and judging by the newspapers things were wrapped in I was the first person to go up their since before I was born. I came out looking like a coal miner and blowing black crap out of my noise for longer than I'd care to remember.

2023-10-04 16:48:57 +0000 UTCLove the reaction! The military talk could get confusing sometimes, but they do explain some stuff later down in the episodes so it’ll get easier to understand. While Theo’s words are justified, it still wasn’t very nice of him to put all of that to Lena. To be fair, Lena is one of the (admittedly) very few people who are nice to them, and because of that, she has to constantly has to deal with the other Albas mocking her for being nice to the Eighty-Six. She’s still actively doing the most she could for them, but of course, at the end of the day, she’s still an Alba and the Spearhead Squadron still doesn’t fully trust her. Lena not asking for them real names was a mistake in her part, yes, but with every mistake she makes, she learns from it. And while Lena is a “sheltered noble lady”, she studied everything she needed to know in terms of being a good military commander, and because of that, she’s the top Handler in terms of high Legion kill rate and little to no casualties on the Eighty Six side, which is quite a big feat for a sixteen year old girl. Also, I don’t mind the blur! It’s a nice compromise imo

This is because an Eighty Six is only allowed to have a personal name if they manage to survive the battlefield for more than a year and usually, most Eighty Six dies before they even reach 1 year. Before Lena got transferred to being the Handler of Spearhead Squadron, she was first handling a different squadron which is led by "Pleiades". Most of the Processors in that squad doesn't have an alias or Personal Names. They are either called A1, B1, C-leader until F. Only a few have their own personal names such as Pleiades and Hyades. Going back to where Lena was discussing her transfer with Uncle Jerome, Jerome was showing Lena the list of the individuals who are part of the Spearhead Squadron and it is shown there that all of them have their own personal names and personal marks carved on their robots (Juggernaut). As said in Episode 2, every member of the Spearhead Squadron have already survived the battlefield for not less than four years and Shin is already in his fifth year of service. Thus why they are called the Ace unit. The squadron is full of members who have all survived for more than four years. They are Veterans. The cream of the crop.
