I haven't read the manga, but from what I've heard, the scene where the guy's arms become flower petals was the animators' way of censoring. Apparently, in the manga, the arms were cut off. Pretty clever to use Hisoka's magician-like appearance/character to go about it. FYI, the show will slowly step away from censoring things, though, not to a gory degree or anything. Also, you two are doing great with the names. In all seriousness, if you guys ever decide to learn Japanese for any reason, I'm sure you would be pretty damn good in the pronunciations, no cap. The 'L' and 'R' sounds are the hardest to differentiate, but you guys got it down👍 VA's: Hisoka has the same VA as Gilbert from Violet Evergarden. One of my favorite roles by him. You've also heard Killua's VA before: Himeno from Chainsaw Man; and a minor character from an AoT OVA.

2023-10-01 12:29:23 +0000 UTC@Uchiha nothing weird or insane about not wanting to watch a show that doesn't make you feel comfortable. They had their reasons and they were clear about them and the majority respected their decision. I personally stopped watching Your Lie in April just because it triggered my trauma and anxiety eventhough I've watched many "psychological" shows with much worse triggering content and I was okay, I don't know why but I wasn't comfortable continuing that show specifically. Weird? Even the most "open-minded' and "fun" people have boundaries that they don't like to cross, and it's totally okay! And yeah Carlie and Ange are one of the most fun, tolerant and easygoing people; and we want them to keep reacting to shows they will enjoy :)

That's why some Japanese people struggle to distinguish words like Light & Right when they speak English, they pronounce them similarly.

Hell i use you to use the double L sounds myself. Im sure your wife knows more about how to pronouce it than most. Even watching the show it and really starting to listen to how they said it, it started to sound like the y sound to me lol.
