Bocchi Episode 12 REACTION!

And thats a wrap! Had a lot of fun with this series and we're looking forward to season 2. There wont be anything replacing this time slot for now, as we are taking a little breather because of the sheer volume of videos we've been pumping out. However, this slot could definitely open up in the future. Here is the reaction link!

Fun fact is, bocchi's two fans were in the crowd. Super loyal!

crazizzle85

Great show, great reactions. Had a lot of fun watching!

You should consider watching BECK, my favorite music/band anime, its a bit more seinen.

Nuvaa

If you want an anime with similar feels you can try watching great teacher onizuka also known as GTO. One of the must watch anime in anime history imo. I hope you can react to it. Thank you for all of your reactions <3

The anthem of the KitaxBocchi shippers

Dooly

Didn’t like Ya Boy because the voice actors didn’t do the singing. Same as Carol and Tuesday.

Dooly

They haven’t seen most of them though. The only reference I saw them understand was the DBZ Yamaha pose in episode 9.

Dooly

'If I could be a constellation' is such a great song, the lyrics seem to be from Bocchi's perspective and how she sees Kita as someone with everything she lacks, but the amazing thing about it is that you can flip it around and see it as Kita's perspective of how Bocchi is everything she lacks too, thus the idea that if they're seen together as if they're a constellation then they can become something bigger than themselves

Bowsber

For somewhat similar series in the music anime genre, there is "K On!" which really popularized the music anime genre around 2009, and more recently there was "Ya Boy Kongming!" which is about an ancient chinese tactician helping a modern day singer.

A cute little trivia is that Bocchi and Kessoku Band appeared as a brief cameo in another anime a few months before Bocchi even aired. It was in an anime called Slow Loop (a slice of life about flyfishing) there was a festival and it showed Kessoku Band playing. Both Bocchi and Slow Loop were produced by the same manga publisher, so they could have a crossover.

Csel

It definitely was an epic moment.

This was a good season finale. I thought the show was decent on my first watch, but I enjoyed it more on my second watch with ya'll. Carlie predicting Bocchi's string snapping and also improvising on the solo 😁 I'm impressed she called that before Ange did. On my first watch, I cringed SO hard when I saw Bocchi walk towards the edge of the stage that I had to hit the arrow key to skip to the next 5 seconds lmao. I couldn't bare the second-hand embarrassment... but I loved your guys' reaction to the scene *Bocchi jumps* Ange: "I think this'll be an epic moment" *THUD* Ange: πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ"Bocchi's dead" πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ The show made me want to pick up my guitar again. My calluses are nonexistent after so many years of not playing though. Watching Bocchi with her old guitar reminded me how much I wanted a Gibson Les Paul back then 😭 Thanks for the reacting to this guys. Here's hoping for a season 2!

MADHOUSE

Yea they are really well balanced as a set of characters Bocchi - Introverted and Uncomfortable in her own shoes Ryo - Introverted and Comfortable in her own shoes Kita - Extroverted and Uncomfortable in her own shoes Nijika - Extroverted and Comfortable in her own shoes I find Kita to be the most interesting in this way as she is clearly very sociable but at the same time she shows this drive to impress and have people like her, and in turn kind of shows a sense of discomfort with who she is and her extreme need to be liked. But really you can get into the psyche all four of the characters in this way and the balance really shows in their interactions and dynamics. It's really a great cast

Now that you guys have finished Bocchi and knowing how much you guys love the JJK opening, here's a fun little video: https://youtu.be/0hF5oZiIh_o?si=jO5aGHfMCsn19ufW

Thanks for reacting!! Ange, If I Could Be a Constellation was the song I was most looking forward to you reacting to! (the one where Bocchi has to use a slide) bc I was absolutely obsessed with that song when it came out! A fun fact, Kessoku band has a full album released of all the songs on the show that you can listen to!

Driscollis

poor Gibson-senpai got replaced by yamaha-chan

Karmac

Thanks for reacting to this guys! Any plans to react to the op/ed’s/released songs? I’m interested because Ange is musically/instrumentally talented

My Toasty Toast

After Bocchi finishes her solo, she takes a deep breath and looks up. And I love this simple moment, to me it shows how she was able to overcome this unexpected occurrence and not completely fold under the pressure, which I bet would have happened at the start of the show. Thanks for watching this show! One of my unexpected favorites of last year

Brian

They keep hiding Gotou's father's eyes. At this point, I'm hoping for a plot twist there, like he's got a sharingan or something 🀣

KaijinGarou

Thank you guys! I hadn't watched a music anime before and saw the first episode along with you for the first time, then I had to go binge show πŸ˜‚. Such a hilarious, relatable and cute anime. Wasn't sure about what to expect and loved it. I hope there's a season 2 because apparently hasn't been confirmed yet and I'll be there to watch your reaction as well when it is. Have a nice rest!

KaijinGarou

I know it was mentioned in earlier comments, just a reminder: Bocchi sings the Ed on this episode. The album was literally chart-topping and award winning (gold record) in Japan. So itβ€˜s everywhere. There are so many reactions because of and to all the different aspects of the show, the actual music of course, also references to anime and music, the mixed media use and different animation styles, realism I.e. in places and the playing of the instruments the vaβ€˜s, and of course the anxiety and loneliness of introvert people. Any one of those in an anime would be fine, all of that put into one and it does not feel overdone, just right, that is a feat, thatβ€˜s Bocchi tha Rock for me. For 2024 there is a compilation movie planned for theatrical release, that could be a prelude to season 2 shortly after or a bridge in the middle between seasons. Anyway, It was great to rewatch it this way, thanks for that, happy you connected to it.

Alderanex

It seems you missed that Bocchi was singing the last song which is kung fu generation's song. The original version of the cover is here. Thank you for reactions<3 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rDTFSD9K9dA&pp=ygUSa3VuZyBmdSBnZW5lcmF0aW9u

Loved watching your reactions to Bocchi, I hope that you react to the opening and endings, they are great and each ending was sung by their VA's

Kike Bojorquez

I'll miss waiting for new Bocchi reacts to drop, this series was a lot of fun to watch alongside you guys! Thanks for the awesome content!

FF at 15

Would have been cool if all the VAs learned how to play instruments like the K-on voice actresses.

Dooly

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wAQRxcLUeE putting it right here

Oliver Yan

there's also a series on youtube where Bocchi's voice actor learns to play the guitar using the same gear bocchi uses in the anime called "road to guitar hero"

Chocpocalypse

Fun fact; the guitar that bocchi bought at the end is a collab with Yamaha, the bocchi the rock edition Guitar is an actual guitar that you can buy.

Chocpocalypse

Loved watching you guys react to this show. Especially Ange!

Ferdz

Bocchi the goat!

Cris Herrera

thank you guys! hope you two have a nice break/breather :D

Zero

What a great music related anime for you guys to watch for the first time. What a fun series and Bocchi is best Girl <3

Zana

even watching these references bocchi references did is fun and amazing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wx2iJ8iPojs

Denden Balan-eg

There's an official guitar cover of the song where the guitarist actually cuts the string mid-cover and does exactly what Bocchi did in this episode. It's so cool, you should check it out! The song's title in Japanese is this "星座にγͺγ‚ŒγŸγ‚‰". That should help with the search

Gerry Octafrre

Bocchi's Dad is the best lmao, also Bocchi apologizing to the old guitar is totally me
