One of them can just resign and they can get married Whoever resigns can be hired as the external consultant or supplier (e.g. Havoc). If they both want to stay in the military, then they just need to drop to the same rank after defeating Father. Hence this reason is a bit weak, or Mustang being greedy hehe.

They feel guilty even though they were soldiers following orders. They don't have the luxury to start and maintain a family because of this guilt and goal, not for now anyway.

He used the doctor as the vessel of knowledge - so he was the one with the alchemical knowledge that was being used by Pride. Pride acted as the energy/medium to be consumed (hence why he is flaking apart, because a lot of energy was taken/lives from the stone), and the doctor was the knowledge to enter the gate. I believe they used the actual alchemy reaction to transform the doctor into the blob, and allowed Mustang through the portal. I don't believe Kimblee was being used, because Kimblee doesn't have knowledge on human transmutation - he has never learned it. However, the doctor has, as he was instrumental in making a human homunculus - so it's his knowledge. Also, they didn't plan for Mustang to be handicapped all along, they planned to have a fifth sacrifice and he was an option. It is just extra convenient for them that his handicap directly affects his usefulness, so it's two birds with one stone: 1. they have another sacrifice and 2. mustang is no longer a threat due to being blind.

In terms of moments in the show, Al has been given some of the top, from 1) standing in front of Hawkeye vs Lust, 2) walking out to face Kimblee/Pride after Heinkel's speech, 3) leaving his body so he can help fight, and then 4) one more that will be in the batch of episodes next week. The silent moment for Scar is because he officially cast off his name in this episode (I have none, I left it) As others have mentioned the alchemist with human transmutation knowledge is the gold toothed doctor Content idea for after the show is over: tier list of characters, and tier list of best moments, either hype or emotion wise - early submissions for moments, all of Al's moments above (1-4) 5) Mustang v Lust 6) your hands are made for saving people, not killing 7) Lan Fan's trick - I've beaten you, you monster 8) Ed punches back through the gate to make Al a promise 9) Olivier & Co freezes Sloth 10) Winry forgives Scar and plans her own escape/fake kidnapping 11) Ed uses his own life force to fix his mistake vs Kimblee 12) Lan Fan's return to help fight Gluttony 13) Hohenheim - Don't make fun of my son, as he closes up Pride 14) Heinkel's speech 15) Mustang wipes the floor with Envy 16) Armstrongs vs Sloth 17) Hohenheim reveals he's individually talked with all 500,000 + souls in his body 18) Bradley returns - there's no need for a king to use anything but the front door to return to his castle 19) Buc + Fuu's sacrifice into Bradley there's a few more in the remaining episodes but that'd be my list

Scar did have a name at one point, yes, but having taken this new path of vengeance, he had to leave it behind, kind of like he died in Ishval. As for Bradley, he quite literally had no name at birth. Now the two of them are fighting with names that were both given to them to fit their roles, since our main cast gave the name Scar based on his face. King Bradley as the ruler, and Scar as Ishvallan avenger.

It's a small detail that can really only be appreciated for people re-watching or who have read the manga.

And I think you missed the part what Bradley said to Scar, he said the name King Bradley was given to him and it was not his name by birth, so he has no real name, maybe arguably a little bit forced, but poetic none the less. I love the part when the truth of which part of the body would be taken from human transmutation revealed, I thought it was random but it actually isn't, everyone gets their own despair corresponds to their desire, I think that's good writing. I don't think they picked Roy as a candidate for nerfing him tho, everyone who is skilled enough as an alchemist is qualified to be a candidate, Dr. Marco was one of the candidate too if you remember.
