Park Eun-Bin, the actress who portrayed Woo, get an Baeksang Award this Year. Thats the Korean version of the Grammy I think. Her speech shows how determined she is as actress. You can see that at YouTube, but prepare tissues.

Spring Sunshine.... Say no more! 😍

MasterOfPuppets

One last comment! I love that you guys appreciated the spring sunshine scene so much. Rather than just being touched by the nickname, I think Attorney Choi also feels a little guilty. When Youngwoo turned up initially, it frustrated Attorney Choi because in Korea, fighting to get a permanent job after your new grad/internship position is extremely difficult...to the point of viciousness. Since Attorney Choi is familiar with Youngwoo, the moment Youngwoo turns up, Attorney Choi feels like she's already lost because no one can compare to Youngwoo's brilliance. However, despite that initial resentment, she realises that being kind or supportive to Youngwoo and doing well herself are not mutually exclusive. She puts all that aside and wholeheartedly just tries her best and naturally becomes one of Youngwoo's supports. Hearing Youngwoo's description of why she sees Attorney Choi as 'spring sunshine' makes her feel ashamed that she ever even held any bad feelings towards Youngwoo in the first place.

I think this episode showcases how difficult it is for people with Autism to navigate rules, like I mentioned before. People talk about good vs bad being black and white, but learn to build their own sense of flexibility with knowing how that applies or doesn't apply in different situations. It's much more difficult for people with Autism to understand that. Youngwoo is trying to calibrate that in her head, but her rigidness in thinking is often her strength and drive. You'll see that the people who get on well with her do not expect her to bend to their will but instead, they kind of flow around her like water to support her. It alludes to all the sea and sea creature imagery. Lee Junho is trying to find his way of doing that too - rather than forcing his opinion on her or even on others like Attorney Kwon, he observes and stands beside them with some suggestions or shared experiences at times from his perspective, but he never tells them what he thinks they should do. I also like the small example I think people often miss with the first meeting scene. People just think Youngwoo is too nice to throw Attorney Kwon under the bus, but after that meeting, you'll see her response when Attorney Jung asks her something like 'considering that the case is about ATM cassettes, shouldn't you know what the term 'cassette' means?' Youngwoo answers yes because she's taking that question literally. That's also why Attorney Kwon gets her flustered at times by confronting her with questions which she can't deny on a literal level...like accusing her of coaching Mr Bae. Youngwoo is vulnerable to things like this as she almost can't defend herself because even if that was not her initial intention, she will be truthful and admit to that because she had such thoughts or it had such effect. However, despite how much people don't like Attorney Kwon, I think having him challenge her or act in ways which annoy her actually push her to reflect more at times, including in this case. He kind of pushes her to realise she is partially to blame for what happened here and she should instead be true to herself. That even if she thinks her instincts are horrible, they are there and it has more to do with her moral compass.

Clarifying a few things for you first πŸ™‚ Lee Junho is a litigation lawyer, so he is in charge of handling various litigation-related tasks and securing evidence, not standing up to represent clients in the court like Youngwoo. With the contracts at the end of this case, basically Ihwa used this opportunity and false claims to force than injunction on Geumgang so they couldn't provide their services for a set period of times. As the banks using Geumgang ATMs couldn't just stop using ATMs for that period, Ihwa went and signed new contracts with all of them so even after the injunction was lifted, all of Geumgang's clients are now with Ihwa. Therefore, Geumgang will go under as a business because the CEO of Ihwa always knew they didn't have the rights to the ATM design, but used this underhanded tactic to steal Geumgang's clients and cut them out as a competitor.
