2023-08-12 10:01:29 +0000 UTCOikawa has arrived! 😭 Daichi has the same VA as Rengoku, by the way. Takeda-sensei (glasses teacher) has the same VA as Levi Ackerman. The sports manager is the support of the team. From knowing each member’s strengths and weaknesses, physical/mental requirements… and coordinates them with the coach and adviser. Basically, she takes care of the team so they wouldn’t have to worry about anything else besides practice and the game. It also helps boost their morale because they have their own cheerleader, in a way. You will see more of her in the future so don’t worry. 🥰

I also didn't expect Ange to have so many relatable stories each episode. Karasuno currently doesn't have an official practical coach. Don't want to spoil anything, so, I'll just say that Takeda, the man in the green jersey with the glasses IS technically their coach, but his role is more of an advisor (also the school's Japanese Literature teacher). When he was introduced, he was the one who found them the practice match against Aoba Josai. As others have already said, Shimizu is the manager and she is a 3rd year along with Daichi, Sugawara, etc.

She's like an assistant, takes care of the club as a whole and handles logistics. She is a student (a third year like Daichi and Suga, I'm pretty sure it's been said in the show by now). She's like an assistant for Takeda (the guy with the glasses that doesn't know about volleyball). He's a teacher and is the adult "responsible" for the male volleyball team. And since he's a teacher he can't always be with the team, but Shimizu can!

Every school clubs in Japanese high schools have Managers to take care of the teams such as doing chores for them, preparing daily protein drinks, taking notes of scores each player makes, their positions in every match, where they score and where the enemy scored, type of attacks and defense tactics and etc. Anyways, Managers are someone who is essential to the team. Without them, the team will not run smoothly. Additional info, Senpai means "Upperclassman/Senior", Kouhai is "Underclassman/Junior", Sensei is "Teacher" and finally Senshuu is "Player"
