Ugh watching this again is filling my heart with so much joy. I watched Haikyuu the summer of 2021, and that year I wore a Kurasano jersey as my Halloween costume. No one at my college knew who I was but it was a blast anyway!

2023-08-14 18:19:05 +0000 UTCHeya not sure if u guys have figured it out yet in the more recent reactions, kangeyama is a last name where as sho (short for shoyo) is hinata’s first name. In the earlier episodes, hinata was with his close friends and hence they address him by his first name. Technically they can be addressed in both ways but it is usually dependent on how close/comfortable you are with the person and the settings. In Japan, names are usually in the sequence last name follow by first name Hinata (last) Shoyo (first) Kageyame (last) Tobio (first) Sawamura (last) Daichi (first) Tanaka (last) Ryunosuke (first) However, despite the Japanese VA calling someone’s full name in the last name then first name sequence (Hinata Shoyo), it is common to be translated in sub as first name followed by last name sequence, per western/English standard (Shoyo Hinata).
