Rain (OP5) is one of my favorites songs, hits very hard on me and Ange did great with the cover!

2023-08-15 16:09:37 +0000 UTCi get how that can be underwhelming but it makes sense. He's spent years rotting in prison while everyone else has been fighting the entire series. he just stands out has a character because of his ideology and speeches he gives.

2023-08-15 01:07:17 +0000 UTCI got to say, Kimblee is an interesting character and a cool villain but he's a little underwhelming. He's introduced like this prodigy alchemist but I can't remember a battle where she didn't lose in 2 min since Ishval. When he was hunting Scar and found him on that train, he started all cocky and 2 min later he was running away with a pipe through the ribs and now he lost 2v1 against a kid and got absorbed by Selim. His record has been pretty lame since he got out of prison.

2023-08-12 11:53:18 +0000 UTCIf Olivier were a normal human being, she would have died instantly when Sloth squeezed her along with the pillar. Fortunately, the Armstrongs are built different.

2023-08-12 05:37:27 +0000 UTCI don't believe Mustang is useless in the rain. He's an alchemist hence he should be able to transmute iron into rods like Ed could, but he would need to draw/carve the alchemy diagram first (just like Al before he recalled about the Door and Truth), which is too much of an effort esp since he never practices it lol.

2023-08-12 05:12:12 +0000 UTCThe way Mustang treated Envy makes one realizes that if he looked angry with anything previously, he wasn't really angry. In episode 53 here, he's about to lose himself to rage.

2023-08-12 05:09:14 +0000 UTCIkr? My favorite is seeing how Bradley's arrangement for Mustang's team (separated them to weaken and threaten Mustang) led the team to learn about stuff that they wouldn't have known otherwise, and in turn provided even better assistance to Mustang and the Elric brothers.

2023-08-12 05:00:40 +0000 UTCSloth potentially being fast makes sense. Think about Wrath. He is also very calm most of the time.

2023-08-12 02:45:28 +0000 UTCBut Kimberly was alive when the Lion held him up. Too much anime black and white and any signs of nuances causes confusion lol. I think it isn't deeper than Pride didn't feel like killing him the first time because he wasn't sure at a quick glance how bad Kimberly was hurt or he just decided to not kill him impulsively because he might have still been useful in the future, but then later on decided to kill him anyways, again, either cause he saw the full extent of his injuries or he simply changed his mind since it wasn't the heat of battle anymore and he thought about it more.

2023-08-11 19:30:13 +0000 UTCMy whole theory behind why Pride hesitated to outright kill Kimblee is that Kimblee is still an asset or perceived as one depending on whether he was going to survive or not. The most prime and valuable candidates for sacrifices are skilled alchemists that have already opened the portal, which explains Hoenheim, Ed, Al, and Izumi. But they consider Mustang a potential asset as well despite him never opening the portal. It looks like they keep skilled alchemists alive as a back up because they can still be used either way. It's probably why they kept Kimblee alive despite his betrayal in Ishval, as he was 2nd grade beef to Ed's 1st grade beef in their alchemic equation. It's likely why they even instituted the whole State Alchemist Program in the first place; in order to attract, cultivate and harvest the best material for the sacrifice. Ultimately, if anything were to happen any of the prime subjects like Izumi or Ed, or even Mustang they would probably just replace them with state alchemists like Kimblee instead. However once Pride saw that Kimblee was beyond saving in his human body he just let his new gluttonous instincts take over and ate Kimblee's soul. In the end, I don't think that Father wouldn't have contingency plans after planning this for hundreds of years and so much preparations in order for the whole thing to hinge on five alchemists in this current era to all have conveniently opened the portal and all fall into his lap. I think he would make due with a slightly diminished result instead of nothing at all.

2023-08-11 19:06:53 +0000 UTCHaha Carlie's knowing face before even looking at Ange when that citizen was worried about Selim. And of course there he was, struggling not to punch the monitor 🤣

2023-08-11 19:02:15 +0000 UTCYeah but it doesn't matter if the idiot can't hit someone in front of him going in a straight line 🤣

2023-08-11 18:56:27 +0000 UTCLOL I read "Olivier breathes weekly" instead of "weakly" and was like "that can't be good" xD.

2023-08-11 18:44:38 +0000 UTCThey're all really solid! And very different as well which is cool
Carlie & Ange
2023-08-11 18:26:05 +0000 UTCyeah from what i understood was once someone dies their soul leaves their body, so my interpretation was if kimblee would've died then Pride wouldn't have been able to absorb kimblee's soul, so Pride left kimblee alive so he could absorb the soul. I feel this especially was the case seeing as souls have been one of the main themes of the anime, so Pride would see it as a waste to let a soul disappear when he could take it himself.

2023-08-11 18:25:51 +0000 UTCSloth being the fastest makes sense if you think "sloth" as "wasted potential". Having so much potential, but choosing to waste their abilities

2023-08-11 18:11:19 +0000 UTCAmazing cover as always. I'm already excited to watch you react to the ops and ends! I think it's the only show along DS where I didn't dislike one of them. They're all bangers.
KaijinGarou
2023-08-11 18:01:32 +0000 UTCPride didn't kill Kimblee he absorbed him alive hence the line "you"ll live through me Kimblee" from Pride just like he did Gluttony. Unfortunately Gluttony was too slow mentally to know the difference..🤷

2023-08-11 17:16:40 +0000 UTCFMAB was always a good show, but there is something about this last arc, ever since the timeskip that makes me understand why it still ranks as one of the all time best shonen anime
