Extraordinary Attorney Woo Ep 2 REACTION!

Thanks for waiting patiently!

Extraordinary Attorney Woo Ep 2 REACTION!

Comments

also not sure if anyone commented but 300.000 won is roughly 300 USD. the rough conversion rate is 1000 won=1 USD. Although in the current conversion: 300,000 won=228.54. so it looks like the value suffered now. but i remember when i was in korea last september, the conversion rate was way better since USD was better in value at the time so i was getting more won for my USD. i think the conversion rate at that time was roughly 1 USD=1200-1400 KRW and of course it fluctuates based on the day and location. the money changing stations at Myungdong (district in Seoul) and the banks at Bupyeong (another city) conversion rates were significantly better than in the other parts of Seoul and Korea that i visited.

This comment is so insightful Flora! We'll keep it in mind for future episodes as well ❤️

Couldnt have said it better! They keep the charm of the show whilst covering some deeper themes

It is a great portrayal although in terms of consistency, I'd say the older brother character, Moon Sangtae, was better in 'It's Okay to Not Be Okay'. Regardless, both shows do a good job of entertaining, but also carrying through a fair amount of realistic issues that people experience.

Thanks for clarifying. As someone who hasn't had this experience it just "felt right" for me how the show approaches autism. Good to hear from someone who knows that they actually made their homework on this.👍 Now I love this show even a little more...😍

Loved your reaction as usual. 😀 Just to clarify...many other cultures don't have the superstition around the groom seeing the bride in their wedding dress before the wedding. I've spent a large portion of my career working with people who have Autism and it feels good to see a show that features such a character in a more honest and positive way. For example, for the fancy gimbap (Korean equivalent of sushi) at the end...Woo Youngwoo chooses to order that because for her, gimbap is the best of the best. She's 'preparing a meal for her father' because of his comment although she doesn't understand that usually when that's said, it's generalised to a person cooking food for their parent instead. And she doesn't think through how he would want to try the 300,000₩ course meal which he'd never splurge on or afford in any normal situation...instead, she just offers what she likes best. It's these little things the scriptwriters and director do to show certain common traits of autism (e.g. the difficulty in seeing/feeling things from someone else's perspective) which make this show a joy to watch. Clearly, she's already come a long way and can empathise or understand other perspectives from an objective standpoint (e.g. for work as an attorney and searching for different possibilities), but she's still working on herself as much as she's working on these cases throughout this show. You can see that in how Lee Junho set boundaries gently because she doesn't think of his inconveniences, but after she considered what he proposed, she was happy to accept and learn to compromise. It was a good lesson for him and for her because if he just gives in to whatever she wants all the time, there'll be a breaking point since it's not a healthy relationship. People with Autism can often have rigid thinking when it comes to rules...which is why you see her taking what her father says in a very black and white way. That results in her telling Junho he can't make comments about her name being the same backwards or talk about whales etc at work. He's kind of showed her there's flexibility in that though so it's a positive way to show viewers how to be accepting, understanding of people who are different in some ways and learn to get along and appreciate them.

Rip Princess Diana

Princess of Whales!😂 That is so brilliant. You better get the copyrights for this Carlie. I can see posters and shirts with the slogan and Woo`s picture on it... 😍😍😍 And I agree with you both. The way they bring in serious topics and keep the story lighthearted without making the topic itself ridiculous is so "extraordinary". I love every single character in this show.❤️

MasterOfPuppets

Young-woo’s whale moment is like her lightbulb moment! So whenever she finds some type of solution LOL

❤️
