Ange: "We haven't seen the Homunculi against each other." The first Greed got wrecked by Wrath, bro. The fights in this series are always so well constructed, but Greed and Wrath's second round is definitely where they step it up, and it's just a taste of what's to come. (I can't wait for you to react to the opening animations) I loved that you severely underestimated Bradley. Don't ever count the man out. It kind of goes to show you how formidable Wrath is, given how easily the Ultimate Eye paired with Bradley's combat prowess can so easily overcome Greed's Ultimate Shield without Alchemy. It also kind of puts Ling's skills into perspective. How his cunning and combat skills alone allowed him to evade Wrath and Gluttony the first time, even while protecting Lan Fan.

2023-07-30 09:00:52 +0000 UTCI don't blame you for being suspicious when May Chang encountered all those nice people, but yeah, they were genuinely just trying to be nice. Long story short, those people live in a mining town that was previously controlled by Yoki. He was living in luxury at the expense of its impoverished citizens, but Ed + Alphonse eventually saved the day. Unless we count the anime-only scene where Yoki monologues his POV of what happened when he met the Elric brothers, you had no way of knowing this because Brotherhood never animated it. Due to the 2003 FMA anime having already adapted the early manga chapters, the Brotherhood anime skipped less important moments and rushed through the content they couldn't skip. Not a huge loss, but still a shame (one of my very few criticisms of Brotherhood). But yeah, those of us who read the manga and watched the 2003 anime likely recognized the characters May Chang ran into and knew they weren't bad people.

I may be speculating a little, but I think he really appreciates the 'things' he has and may be learning to value people while they're still around. He has been through some heavy loss and hit rock bottom there for a minute.
